"You must remember that Baruna is your sister!" I spontaneously answered Reynand's question.
"I know!" sahut brief.
"I'm his wife!" i said again.
"Everyone knows!" Reynand replied again.
"I'm pregnant!"
"I'm ta-" Reynand stopped her saying. His eyes widened, shaking at me. He was surprised to hear that sentence just come out. "You pregnant?"
I'm nodding. Accidentally told Reynand. The feeling of being slightly depressed facing him instead became a trigger for his own heartache repeatedly. She was the first to know about my pregnancy.
"You'll have a nephew" I added.
I reaffirmed what I meant. Reynand must face this reality. Letting go of me marrying his sister would probably be his biggest regret if he was unable to set his own heart until now.
Reynand flinched, but her eyes were staring. "Are you really pregnant?" The man repeated his question as if in disbelief.
"Yes, Rey. I won't lie about something as important as this just to avoid you" I said.
Reynand's phone suddenly rang. The man did not also take his eyes off me until the ring finally stopped and not for long, it rang back. The caller may very well need Reynand.
"Thank you for that call!" I said remind.
He then reached into his suit, stared for a moment at the phone screen, then answered the call.
"Yes, Kay?"
I raised my face to look at him who called out the name "Kay". I'm pretty sure the one who called was Kayla. It had not occurred to me that Kayla might have come with her at the party.
"I'm in the parking lot, Kay. Take a clean suit because the suit I'm wearing is stained with juice. There's a sloppy woman who spilled her juice on my suit." The man glanced sharply at me. I snorted, then scowled at her words to Kayla.
Yep! I'm reckless, but you shouldn't have to deal with my carelessness to everyone!
Without saying goodbye again, I immediately turned my body away leaving the cold man. But he had to stop stepping when he pulled one of my hands. I held back the frustration, looking back.
Reynand looked seriously, then nodded. She quickly ended her conversation on the phone and refocused on talking to me.
"Where are you going?" tanyakanya.
"Back to the party" I answered briefly.
"Let's get back together!"
I didn't answer. My gaze was fixed on Reynand's hand that had not yet let go of her hand.
"Can you let go of my hand, Rey?!"
"God! Sorry!" he said to immediately release his hand.
I pulled a thin smile. "I'd better go first. I'm afraid anyone's gonna see us and gossip about the no-no."
"Yes, Sher. You're correct. Please go first" Reynand said.
Without asking any more, I left it, returned to the hotel ballroom.
Maybe I was the cruelest woman to him. But, what is her feeling now my responsibility as well? Oi! He's a grown man who has everything. He just had to appoint one of the women he wanted if he was interested in her. They will be very happy. Obviously, not the wife of the man! It would be a shame to be a player, wouldn't it? She should marry Kayla soon. It is a pity to continue to hang the status of the woman. Anyway, I know very well how Kayla feels loving her.
Just setting foot in the ballroom, I saw Kayla standing and talking at the buffet table with a man. Laughing with that guy.
"He's David? They know each other apparently" I murmured.
"Sher?" I looked back. Baruna's voice suddenly sounded calling.
"Darling, how are you here?"
Baruna shook her head. His hands are ruffled by the waist. "Where from? The drink table over there, but why did you take it all the way to Baghdad?"
"Baghdad? You think I'm Yasmin's daughter, huh?" The insinuation was very funny and made me laugh for a moment.
"sorry. I got a call from nature." I don't know why my tongue started the lie again.
When you invent one lie, you'll keep lying to cover up that lie, Sher!
"Cklck!" I can't find one."
"Where are my friends?" I just want to put my eyes around.
"Nayara and Fely, huh?"
"Yes. Who else?"
"Don't know," he replied then speechless, seemingly unconcerned with my two female friends and their partner. His hand suddenly reached out to my hand. "Let's join Father and Mother at the front desk. The show's about to start."
I nodded, following Baruna wherever she took me. Sit down and join our parents.

Reynand POVs
I was still standing next to the car. Smoke cigarettes with a broken feeling. Sheryl's pregnancy news hit me pretty hard.
I should have known that this was going to happen sooner or later and had to prepare my heart as well as possible, but hearing him say it made me sad as well as upset half to death.
After being satisfied with the lung-destroying object, I hurried away from the parking lot, back to the event ballroom. Kayla was already standing in the doorway waiting for me.
"A long time! Where are you from, Rey?" tanyakanya.
"Smoking for a moment" I said briefly.
"Your mother was looking for you. The show has already begun. Your father and Baruna gave their welcome."
"Oh ...." I don't want to comment.
Kayla pulled my hand, forcing her to follow in her footsteps. We then sat in a circle at a round table close to Mama. My birth mother swerved up next to her eyebrows to see me who had just come. His face showed a feeling of dislike.
"Where have you been with your sister's wife?"
The deg!
Suddenly, Mama asked me a question that made me startle.
"What the hell, Ma?" pretend like.
"Don't pretend! Mama saw you pull Sheryl both out of the ballroom. Are you still avoiding him? Is that your sister's permission?" Mama is interrogating.
Kayla who was between us immediately stared in turns looking confused, but instead interrogated. "So you went with Sheryl, Rey?"
"Ck! You don't interfere, Kay!" my ketus.
The woman beside me immediately closed her mouth. She was indeed very afraid of facing me who was starting to get emotional.
"Right, didn't you, Mama's question?" Mama frowned then let out a long breath. "Why do you prefer to look at the green grass of your neighbors, rather than your own? Kayla is here. If you keep acting like this, no one will come near you, Rey. As pretty as anything, as good as anything, as understanding as anything, women don't like to be cheated on."
Mama's advice made me grin and then laugh. "I didn't do anything with Sheryl. Just a casual chat, Ma," I explained, of course, covering everything up, then turned to Kayla. Staring at him so deeply as if telling him not to expect me anymore. "My relationship with Kayla is not what Mama imagined it to be. Even today, he's just accompanying us to the party. Not more!"
Kayla did not comment. That woman knows what I mean. Although many times say love, but I really can not return his feelings.
"Get me talking, Rey! Kayla has a heart!" reproof Mama. His eyes glared furiously at me, making me gulp, a little scared. "If you're just having a casual conversation, it's not appropriate for you to take the woman away from her husband's side. Baruna has been looking for his wife. He asked Mama. But Mama can't hurt her own child and tell her you're with Sheryl."
I fell silent, thinning my lips. Kayla also fell silent, not daring to comment. We were both unable to reply to the words of the old lady before us.
