The Marriage Order

The Marriage Order
S3 I Need You

Reynand POVs

It may sound cliche, but I started to like it when the smile was etched beautifully onto her pretty face. Unfortunately, Sheryl is already someone else's wife.

I owe him my life. Besides how I feel about him. He saved me from death that almost picked me up.

I looked at her sweet smiling face. I would love to praise him. Especially when she said she would feel so guilty if I got sick. I quickly dispelled such intentions.

"Why should you feel guilty? The sick me is none of your business, Sher," said I, who had begun to speak more fluently.

"I feel like it's my responsibility, Rey. Nay said lately you can't control your consumption of cigarettes and drinks."

I only chuckled though inwardly cursing the woman's doctor. Are not patient complaints a secret?

"No. Nay is too much. I'm not like that. Everything is normal. Nothing more, nothing less." I refute his words. Of course, I don't want to be embarrassed in front of him because my face has started to warm up.

"Thank God." He showed that smile again, then fell silent for a moment. "I've called your family. They'll be here soon."

I nodded slowly. Suddenly remembered how I had troubled him so much earlier this afternoon with words and actions that I should not have done to him. In his heart, he probably hated me.

"Regarding this afternoon, I want to apologize to you, Sher. I'm ashamed to admit it, but really, that's my true feeling. I'm mencin—"

"Rey, don't start again!" Sheryl took my word. He stuck his palm on my lips. This time I looked very seriously. "If you can't be my brother-in-law, what if we're just friends."

"Vhem?" I replied in an indistinct voice because her fingers were still on my lips.

Sheryl hurriedly pulled her hand. "Yes. All the statuses that have ever existed between us never seem to have succeeded in changing everything. What if we were just friends this time?" Sheryl asked with her raised eyebrows.

I was silent, thinking for a moment. His words are nothing wrong. It felt like my status as a friend had never stopped in my mind.

"Yes, maybe it's time like this" I said, still looking at him.

Sheryl smiled again and I could only smile wryly. Hopefully this decision is not the wrong decision.

The door to the ward suddenly opened. Mama, Indira, Daniel, Nayara, and also ... Kayla was seen entering the room. Sheryl stood up and looked at them. The situation was a little serious because our conversation was over.

"Night," said Sheryl, lowering her body.

"Night, Sher," said Indira and Daniel together. The two smiled towards Sheryl, but Mama still with her arrogance looked at the woman. I saw that he was silent while holding his necked head up.

"Night, Aunt." Sheryl greeted him again. Just a nod given by the number one woman in my life.

Kayla who was walking in the back with Nayara suddenly hugged me. His forehead shriveled, staring with a glint of his compassion. "Rey, you're okay, right?" tanyakanya.

"Yes, it's better" I said briefly then felt his heavy embrace afflicting my body. "Kay, can you let go of your embrace? I'm still claustrophobic."

"Sorry, Rey." Kayla quickly straightened her body.

Sheryl turned her head for a moment at me, then turned her back to the rest of my family. "Because everything has come, I'd better go home" he said, grabbing his bag.

"I'm taking you, Sher!" said Nayara who immediately followed Sheryl's steps without waiting for her approval. Both of them then walked away.

Mama's voice was able to stop Nayara and Sheryl's steps. The two women twisted their bodies. Only Sheryl returned to bow in respect.

"It is my duty to help my fellow men. Moreover, Rey is no stranger to me, Auntie. He's my brother-in-law" he said, clarifying our status.

A second later without further ado, they continued their steps away. I didn't expect Mama to talk like that. After Sheryl chose Baruna, Mama was the woman who hurt the most compared to me.

Baruna POVs

I drive alone in the car. After the snarl, I hurried away. I don't know why the words Andra and Frans keep ringing in my ears. Felicia and the boy ....

I regret being on the show and meeting Felicia. Could it be that the child is really my son?

I glanced at the screen on the car dashboard. Sheryl called suddenly. Some time ago my wife also called, but I did not want to answer her because she was talking seriously with Andra and Frans. I was very angry and wanted to teach them a lesson. But I must be smart to manage my anger, immediately leave the place before the situation heats up.

"Hello, Honey?" sapana.

"Sorry, Honey. I couldn't pick up your phone. Hows it? Already at home?" my many.

"Darling, I'm in the hospital. Can you come get me?"

"Hospital? What the hell's going on? You and our future son are okay, right? Where's Mr Amri?" I panicked when I heard he was in the hospital.

"No. I'm fine, so is our son-in-law. Be calm. You don't have to panic. I told Mr. Amri to come home first because I wanted to be near you" he replied, then he fell silent.

"Darling?" call me.

"Rey's in the hospital. I accidentally found him in critical condition. Her chest was tight and alone in her room."

The chamber? My mind floated. Could they be .... I shook my head strongly. Eliminate all negative thoughts about all things that lead to the past. They can't be betrayed anymore and I'm very sure about that. If Sheryl had said that, Reynand would have been in a critical condition.

"Well wait for me, honey."

"Yes, you be careful on the road."

The conversation is over. I turned towards the hospital. The night highway wasn't too crowded until I could arrive in no time.

With a rash move, I opened the door of a twenty-four-hour cafe located in the hospital lobby. Sheryl was sitting alone looking down while sipping fruit juice on one of the tables. I immediately approached and sat in front of him.

Sheryl raised her face and smiled at me. "Darling, you've finally come. Sorry if I interrupted your time with your friends by asking to come pick you up."

"No. I'm it's okay. They don't mind me coming home first. I'm too worried about you." I smiled back and took a long breath. "I want to see Rey."

Sheryl glanced at her watch for a moment. "No need, dear. It's been a very night. His whole family had come to accompany him. We'll look at it tomorrow, yeah," he said as he reached out, stroked my cheek.

"All right." I glanced at the piece of chocolate cake in front of him. "It's not usually you eat cakes like that. Are you very hungry, honey?"

Sheryl shakes. "It's not me. Looks like our son needs a sweet intake. He knows how his parents are feeling right now" he said, grinning. I don't know what he meant.
