Baruna POVs
I saw Dad turning his eyes to Sheryl. Instantly folding his newspaper until the article he read looks very clear.
"Sheryl, can you explain the news in this paper?" I pointed to the article. The clearly readable headline makes my eyeballs widen.
Anton Wirawan's Son-in-law Asyraf Aged In The Parking Lot Y Hotel With His Other Son
In the business gossip article, there is a photo of Reynand holding Sheryl's wrist. They stand facing each other.
I suddenly turned my gaze towards Sheryl whose face immediately paled. He looked at me until we looked at each other.
"What's going on, honey? When did you meet? Why don't I know?" I glared at him with three questions.
I did not expect that secretly they were still meeting behind me. And I think the photo was taken last night when one chance Sheryl went from my side, which was when she disappeared from taking a drink.
"Th-that ...." Sheryl can't answer my question. As for me, Father, and Mother waiting for an answer from him.
"Why are you nervous? This is really a picture of you and Reynand. What are you doing in that place?" my toilet is more judgmental.
"I accidentally got his suit dirty and he asked me to drive him to pick up another clean suit of his in the car" Sheryl replied, but somehow I couldn't believe it.
I breathe long. He looked at her face that was hiding something. But I knew that his words weren't entirely lies and I was really curious about what he was hiding.
"Should there be an all-hands show?" My insinuations cornered Sheryl.
"Itu–"
Not yet my wife continued her sentence, Mother suddenly cut her, "Have, Bar. It's still morning. You guys are going to work too. You guys finish it later, yeah." Mother glanced at Father. "Mas, just eat breakfast. Don't mind Baruna and Sheryl's business. They're all grown-ups. Must know how to solve the problem."
Dad's face looks bad. He seemed to be upset by the news. We are not public figures, but the reporters are always looking for news material to the ins and outs of our private lives.
Dad slammed his spoon and fork on the plate. He took his coat. Instantly his eyes stared intently at me and Sheryl took turns.
"Dad hope that when you get to the office, this business is done. If not, I'll talk to Rey myself" he said.
"Mas, you have not finished your breakfast," said Mother.
"I'm not lustful, Mer." The old man I respected immediately walked out. Mother rushed after him, leaving Sheryl and me at the dinner table.
Sheryl closed her eyes, seeming to be breathing so heavily. I looked at him a little bit for pity. Moreover, she is pregnant with our fetus.
"sorry. I'm sorry, honey," I said, directly stroking her dense black hair.
My wife opened her eyes. Turned his eyes to me. "Why are you apologizing?"
"So you're the one who wants to apologize? You claim to have done something wrong?" I replied to him with a question that made him unable to dwell.
Sheryl took a long breath. Staring at me with his suddenly watery eyes, ready to fall at any moment. I don't know why he became more sensitive when I didn't scold him.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about our meeting last night in full."
"Do you want to tell me now?"
Sheryl nodded. He started talking to Reynand last night. Not only that, he also recounted an earlier meeting at the Nayara boutique.
"He still has feelings for me. How am I supposed to deal with it?" sheryl lirih.
Looks like my anger stock is over. I can't feel any more anger for Reynand. Who can regulate and forbid love to grow in the heart of a person, including Reynand. We are brothers, though not as conceived. Most importantly, my wife can take care of herself and not betray our marriage.
"Fight as usual. Don't be affected by anything. Always remember me and our future son." I stroked his stomach.
Sheryl nodded. "Yes, for the sake of our son" he said.
"Now finish your food. You must have enough energy because now that energy is not only your right, but also the right of our fetus."
"It's okay, it's okay" I said.

Sheryl POV
I just put my body on a desk chair. My heart rages erratically. Piqued.
This morning ... Why this morning? My father-in-law read the insignificant gossip in his morning paper, then with a sharp gaze looked at me like he wanted to kill his prey.
Shitty news! Paparazzi in this day and age are everywhere. No matter their profession, everyone could suddenly become a news reporter as long as they found something exciting.
This is the second time, Reynand and I have experienced something like this. I'm not an actress. Rey is not an actor. Why should it always be us? It really pisses me off half to death.
Instantly the thought flashed through the head. I'm still lucky Baruna wasn't angry at the dinner table. In fact, he kept calm driving me to the office. However, the guilt towards my husband is still in my heart to this day.
The kling!
Voice notification incoming chat message. I grabbed the phone that was deliberately placed on the table since. Chat message from Reynand.
[Sher, I'm sorry. I swear I just learned that cheap gossip from my assistant. You're all right? Is Baruna angry with you?]
I exhaled a rough breath. Type a reply chat for him.
[I'm fine. Baruna was not angry because I said everything without exception. He already knows everything.]
I waited a long time, Reynand didn't reply to that message either. I drowned myself in office work. A few moments later, I raised my face. Reza was unceremoniously seen peering out from behind the window.
Quickly, get out of the chair and open the door. "What's wrong? Why just peek?" I asked while shaking my waist in front of him.
My brother just showed me his sweet whimper. "I thought you were upset, Dek." Reza broke into the study and sat on the sofa. I also sat in front of him.
"Why bother, huh?" I don't like it. I swear I'm not feeling bad. Yes, you can repeat my narrative reading above.
"The news. Why is there such news? You're not planning on making your own harem palace, are you?" insinuations.
"Good, Brother!" I shook my head, not thinking.
"Swinks, Sher. Seriously so." Brother Reza. I'm sure the insinuation was serious.
"Haish! I am a monogamous. Why does Brother like to quip?"
Instead of answering, Reza continued to laugh. I immediately threw the couch cushion in his face. However, he did not stop his laughter either.
"I'm married. I couldn't possibly do the crazy thing I used to do," I said then fell silent for a moment, looking at his face in seriousness. "After all, I'm pregnant, sister."
"Seriously?" Reza looked at me in disbelief.
"Of course seriously. Later in the day, Baruna and I will go to the obstetrician."
"Congratulations, Deck!" At once Brother Reza got up from his seat and hugged me warmly.
"He-em. Thank you, Brother." I put on a smile. "Regarding the rumors, do not let Papa and Mama know," I added.
"tag. They found out this morning" said my brother spontaneously.
