That night, Baruna and I were at my school reunion. I took Kak Baruna's arm into the ballroom of the Y hotel. The atmosphere is crowded. The reunion event successfully brought in all Diamond private High School alumni.
"Sheril!" A woman's voice called out to me from behind.
I looked at her face and body that had changed a lot. The woman's body was fat with chubby cheeks. He walked quickly to me followed by a man holding a baby behind him. I looked at her confused and thought who was that woman?
"Don't be surprised. So very eyes lo. I'm Tika, Sheryl." Fortunately, the woman introduced herself to me.
"E-Eh sorry Tika, I totally forgot. Lo's face and lo's body." I accidentally pointed at him.
"Huuh snuck me. I teach my body this way. I'm the old belom of lahiran. It's just like the Spanish guitar from long ago" he protested.
"I'm sorry Tik" I said.
"Yes, it's nothing. That's next to you new guy?" tanya Tika glanced at me but also while smiling towards Kak Baruna.
"Oh yeah know him Baruna's my future husband, Tik." Baruna's sister reached out her hand and shook hands with Tika.
"At." Tika introduced herself, "She's Mario and my baby Cindy," added Tika introducing her little family.
"Sheryl."
"Baruna."
"Mario."
We got to know each other and went into the ballroom walking in tandem. There was a magnificent stage standing in the middle. A man in glasses opened the show. Yes, that person again, Satya. Today everywhere there is him. I shook my head.
"Good night everyone. Thank you for taking the time to attend the 2013 reunion. My name is Satya Julian Mahardika. I'm the one who's planning the meeting tonight and I happen to be the one who's sponsoring it." Satya opened the show at length.
"It's true that there's that person again" Kak Baruna told me.
"That's not to be thought about. He's busy himself, too" I said.
"Sher that guy on the stage wasn't that fat guy, was he? Satya right? How different was it from the same old days? so Sher's saucy." Question after question was thrown by Tika while patting my shoulders in surprise.
"Yes, it's been a surprise that it's normal, anyway" I said lazily.
"It was crazy that he sponsored this reunion event," added Tika surprised.
Me and Brother Baruna sat watching Satya who was making a speech from the front of the stage, listening seriously to her every word. What are her plans for this reunion?
I looked around, gasping to catch the figure of a pair of humans I knew so well, Wildan and Fandy. They both sat not far from my seat.
"Kok can they both be here? It fits perfectly, one is venomous and one is poisonous. Can the same poison, right? Ah I mean they're both on the list of people I don't want to see."
I covered the left side of my face with my little pouch bag hoping they wouldn't turn to their right and realize my whereabouts. Brother Baruna looked at my movements in wonder.
"Eh .... You serious?" I widened my eyes to look at Brother Baruna.
"us .... I'm lost, forget it."
"Hey how could it be? You said it just now. Where can I just forget it. So you're a real workman or a gossip guy anyway?" I'm afraid I pinched his cheek.
"Well, news like that was actually only two weeks ago I heard. Someone just conveyed. Even the walls in the office can talk. Are you still jealous?"
"Yes no. But I've been pissed off all this time they lied and played behind my back." I folded my hands over my irritated chest.
"Just explain it. His name is also the journey of life, there is bitter and sweet." Brother Baruna advised.
"Can't! I have to get to them for an explanation." I got up to stand ready to step but Brother Baruna pulled my hand.
"Geez Sheryl! Be seated! You're gonna embarrass yourself, '" he's angry.
I quietly swallowed my own saliva and folded my hands again. I put my lips together a sign of annoyance. Then we went back to listening to the words of the madman.
"Actually this show I made especially for my first love. The woman I liked before, I can even say I still like her until now. He was a Diamond High School alumnus as well but unfortunately, I used to be rejected outright because of my ugly look. Believe me not believe that you know I know who I am. Fat, spotty everywhere, cupu, short, and wear thick glasses anyway. I am also not the son of a rich man. Who wants to be my lover? There is one he uses me. I was bullied, humiliated, even sometimes the physical game I felt. He did it with his friends." Satya poured out her heart.
The atmosphere of the event began to stir. They wondered who the woman was. Tika looked at me. Gesturing his index finger at his neck was a sign our situation was not good.
"But what now? Appearance is indeed the main capital after money. A few days ago I met him. I can buy it at whatever price I have to spend. I have been successful. Many women approached me. I think he just shyly admits he wants to be with me. He will love me too, right?"
"God! Sher, let's just go home. That guy's gone crazy saying things that don't matter. That was a long time ago. I guess he's so cute added his heart's so brazen." Tika started to stand up to leave. Her husband stood up with an annoyed face.
I turned to look towards Kak Baruna who also showed an angry face. His palm on his head was furious. He got up and walked to the stage. I don't know what he's gonna do.
Baruna stepped up onto the stage, suddenly landing her fist right on Satya's cheek. The microphone that Satya held fell down as well as herself. He widened his eyes in surprise to see Kak Baruna standing in front of him in a very angry manner.
Anger could not be contained, there was a fight between them. The atmosphere began to rumble. There are people who take advantage of this situation. They even recorded it with their smart phones. I ran up to the stage trying to break up both of them. I hugged Brother Baruna.
"It's a shame we're just going!" myrag.
Baruna's sister didn't heed my words. He challenged Satya.
"Here you are if you are brave! Is that your strength?!"
Satya was helpless on stage. He coughed and held onto his sick stomach. Blood came out from the corner of his lips. He looked at us annoyed.
"Look at my revenge later," he said softly.
"Gue's not afraid!" sahut Kak Baruna with a face that still stiffens angrily.
Satya was then helped to stand by one of the organizers who swept her off the stage leaving us both.
