"Hello, Brother."
"It's so nice that it sounds. What's up?"
"Obviously. Does that sound like that?"
"Yes, what are you doing, Sher? Lunch yet?"
"Yet. I just wanted to call Big Brother, it turns out that Big Brother already called first."
"Indeed, if it's any match will be interconnected. Moreover, it can pass through the mind, like telepathy."
"Sister could have. Now I just want to have lunch."
"By the way, is there anything you want to call me?"
"There's something I want to ask my brother."
"About?"
"Did Brother like to send packages for me to the office without a name?"
"No. If you want to send it, use the sender's name only. It would be mysterious if there was no sender name. Did he send anything?"
"That's what makes me curious. Three times the delivery. He sent flowers, chocolates, food, and drinks. Everything was meant for me, but there was no sender name. Just a card with writing that makes people wonder like a canned letter."
"Your boyfriend must have sent it."
"No Brother, even Fandy doesn't know. I asked a few days ago."
"Yes, I'll help you find out. I just had lunch too. Have a good meal."
"Yes, sister, too."
I hung up the phone, walked up to my desk, slammed the bouquet of yellow roses on the table.
"Don't slam dong, Sher. That's a pretty flower. Here for me. I'll put it at home."
"Yes, make it. I was going to keep them for evidence. But so males."
"Why males?"
"Gue thought the one who sent it was someone I knew. You know it's just rubbish. It's unclear!" I'm a little disappointed. I wish that Baruna's sister would send me those packages.
Irene picked up the bouquet of yellow roses, then read the cards poking out between them.
"These are words like pantun. Haha. But if the one who sent this is not sure you meet, how?"
"No way. He must be a coward. Send a letter usually as a canned letter."
"It's okay, what matters is that the flowers are beautiful" Irene said as she hugged the bouquet.
"It's up to you, Irene darling. Eat yuk Ren first. I'm laper."
"Oh yes, take a break. Go to the canteen! Uh, but you said there was a food package, too?"
"Gue love Maya."
We walked to the cafeteria and sat at an empty table close to the executive dining room.
"Sher, that's the handsome Mr. Reynand just passed by."
"Where?" I looked to the right and left looking for Mr. Reynand.
"That was passing by your side."
"Yes, anyway. The guy's gonna eat, Ren."
What's so great about Reynand? Was it Irene who was too exaggerated to see the figure of the man? He was handsome after all, his body was also tall and stocky but that did not interest my heart at all. Maybe because I've been dating too long so I'm not interested in other men**?
The afternoon was replaced by the afternoon. Soon the sky will be dark. I sat pensively in the lobby of the office while occasionally looking at my watch which showed at six in the afternoon. It's been an hour I've been waiting for Brother Baruna who said he would pick me up. But the trunk of his nose had not appeared yet either.
The rain began to fall spatter, not long to become increasingly heavy instantly. I tried calling Baruna again. It's been over ten times I've called, but he didn't pick it up. I got out of my seat and walked around worrying about her. I was afraid something would happen to him.
"Where the hell is he?" muttered.
From a distance I saw the figure of Mr. Reynand just came out of the elevator. He walked a little in a hurry. His cold style was clearly visible in my eyes.
"Sore Sir." I greeted him while bowing my head.
Mr. Reynand only turned his head for a moment to reply, "Sore."
Then he walked back to his car.
What did I just see? It was cold, like an ice cube that had not melted.
I frowned astonished at his attitude towards me who tomorrow became his secretary.
I sat down and started playing my smartphone again. Not long after, Mr. Office security officer came to me.
"Sir, sorry in front of someone looking for Ms. Sheryl. But the guy's still in the car"
"Search me?"
"Yes, Mother."
I stepped out of the office building. My eyes were fixed on a car I had known all along. Fandy's car is parked in the front yard. I immediately turned back inside, but Fandy saw me and immediately came out running after me. He pulled my hand. I had to follow in his footsteps. He took me in the car.
"Sher, why don't you pick up my phone? My message was not answered even though I knew you were online," he asked with a disappointed face.
"Then what do you want to talk about?"
"So I was alone with your father."
"Keep Papa said what?"
"Your father told me to give up on this relationship. Your father also asked me to break up with you."
"Your answer?"
"I can't decide you. I can't lose you. But your father is against it. Your father said you'd be married in less than two months. I was confused how to answer it. I can't answer it, but I have to go abroad. I can't let go of both."
"I guessed it. Your words cannot be held. Your sweet promise is in your mouth."
"So you agreed to marry her? How can you marry but not love that person?"
"Make what talk about love in the moment. You obviously disappointed me. You who will never understand true love. I'm sure now, we better break up, Fan." I looked into his eyes sure.
"Oh I just found out, Sheryl who now does prefer to live with people who are better in office and a lot of her wealth. So this is your love?" fandy sneered while smiling wryly.
I can't stand to hear his taunts. Too sick and disappointed to hear Fandy's assessment of me right now. A Fandy I've loved all along can say such words. Like it wasn't Fandy I've known all along.
Plaque!
The loud noise from my palm that landed on his cheek made him stop talking. I slapped Fandy.
Fandy stroked her flushed cheeks, "How dare you slap my face! You can't play me like this, Sher. We have designed many ideals."
"We? No, it's just your ideals. I'm sorry and thank you so much for your wasted time on me during these six years!"
Fandy just kept quiet not answering my words. He took his eyes off my face. I opened the car door and ran out in the rain. Not long after that his car came out of the parking lot, leaving just like that.
