Invisible Rich (The Invisible Rich Man 2)
Chapter 1517

Naturally, Jenny handled it quickly without much hassle.

Going back to Gerald, there are too many people these days who are looking for an opportunity to approach him.

While it really got to the point where he felt it was troublesome, Gerald was grateful that he would stay in the magical cave on Mount Tierson for the next few days.

As the name suggests, the place is truly a miracle, and Gerald found some magic artifacts in it. Even so, it took Gerald three whole days before he could find the exact one that Master Ghost had told him to find.

It was an elite blue crystal that was the size of an adult's nail …

While he was happy to finally find it, Gerald had absolutely no idea how to use it. However, after observing it for a while, he realized that it seemed to contain an extremely powerful and special form of energy within it.

'I wonder why Master Ghost insisted on finding this special gem ...' Gerald thought inwardly before proceeding to research it.

However, even after a few days had passed, he still did not know how to use it. With that, he concluded that he needed the help of Master Ghost to figure it out.

Knowing Master Ghost, Gerald felt that the man had predicted he found the crystal. In other words, everything might go according to Master Ghost's plan.

Even if that was the case, where did Master Ghost hide…?

Just as Gerald was getting worried, Julian walked up to him before saying, “Master Crawford, Miss Xyrielle from the Waddy family is here! While I was expecting him to leave after refusing to enter, he had been waiting for you outside all day and night! He kept saying that he should meet you any way!”

“... Hm? Xyrielle's? What is he doing here?”

Naturally knowing who he was, Gerald remembered how indifferent he behaved whenever he was around him. Other than her birthday banquet, they had no other reason to meet each other. Even so, if he had really been waiting for her all day and night, he had no reason not to meet her. Moreover, he felt a little guilty for initially thinking of using him to obtain an entrance ticket.

"Then let him in!" added Gerald while nodding.

As he looked at Gerald, his heart immediately pounded as he stuttered, "G-Gerald... No-M-master Crawford!"

Thinking back, he wondered why he found this person to be so mediocre just a few days ago ... To be honest, wasn't he acting rather tall and powerful before her at that moment? To think that he would now be too nervous to look into his eyes!

Smiling as he turned to look at her, Gerald then asked, “So. Would you like to talk to me about something? ”

“Y-yah! Though... I doubt you will agree to my request..” replied Xyrielle in a slightly sad tone.

He is fully aware that what he wants to ask of him is a little disrespectful, and though he is sure that Gerald will agree if he does not know his true identity, now that all this has happened, Gerald will agree that he will not know his true identity, he's not sure anymore. Worse, nervousness and a sense of inferiority made it very difficult to make that request.

“Yeah, it depends on request... Come on..” says Gerald.

“Y-yah.. The thing is, I want to ask if you can accompany me on the way to Mount Sacrasolis... T-but I can see now you are very busy so..!” answer Xyrielle.

Even though he said that, his hopeful eyes clearly betrayed him.

“Hm? Mount Sacrasol? Is there any reason why you want me to accompany you there?” gerald asked, smiling a little wryly.

“...I-it..” murmured Xyrielle.

He didn't really know how to explain it without making the request sound unreasonable. However, in the end, he gave up just like that and decided to be frank about it.

Basically, Xyrielle wanted him to accompany her there because she wanted to find the fortune teller she had met earlier on the riverbank behind that mountain. In other words, she wanted the fortune-teller to determine if their marriage was truly destined by fate, despite knowing how ridiculous her motives were.

It didn't help that he was well aware that while marriage was the only thing on his mind, Master Crawford was a really busy person.
