Chapter 966

A hint of resentment rang out in the man's voice as he pointed at Gerald.

"Indeed! This is my husband, Gerald!” juliet replied hand in hand with Gerald.

“Gerald, this is Cavan, my classmate from university!” juliet added as she introduced her to the man.

“It's nice to meet you!” gerald said as he reached out in accordance with the etiquette Juliet taught earlier.

"I really can't understand what's on your mind... Even if you break up with him, you could easily go for someone other than this person." Cavan murmured.

However, noticing Juliet's warning gaze, Cavan stopped talking. It is clear that Cavan is one of Juliet's suitors. That explains why he completely ignored Gerald's handshake as well.

Cavan wasn't the only one who treated Gerald that way. Many of Juliet's other male friends stared intently at her, refusing to say a word to Gerald.

Even her female classmates stared at Gerald with disdain from time to time. It was as if they were all wondering how a beauty like Juliet could end up with a pitiful person like Gerald.

“Just look at that guy, Cavan! I would have never imagined that Juliet would actually marry such a person! To think that he was actually in love with a teacher working at the University of the Heavenly City! I cannot speak! What exactly is Juliet thinking?”

Moments later when some of her male classmates were discussing Gerald right outside the man.

Their dissatisfaction with her is justified because most, if not all, of them have had a crush or fallen in love with her once. Cavan himself had long had feelings for her.

However, since Juliet already had someone else in her heart back then, no one had ever had the chance to ask her out on a date. After learning that she has finally broken up with her boyfriend, all of her classmates are desperate to finally be able to try their luck!

Unfortunately, the next thing they knew, she was already married to a useless person!

With all of them being respectable people, it was no wonder why they had so underestimated Gerald. After all, he was just a lecturer.

“Huh! I know? We can't even say anything to Juliet right now because she's always nearby! What a ruin of an uncomfortable sight!” scowl of other classmates.

“Then, then we should make it go away! We will explain to him that our meeting is not an event that just anyone can attend, especially people with status!” tease Cavan.

As Cavan looked at Gerald, he walked up to him with a smile before saying, “By the way, we haven't even had a drink with the groom yet! Since you snatched our goddess from us, you should drink with us today!”

The other men simply exchanged glances with each other happily before smiling coldly at Gerald.

Despite the obvious and sudden change in Cavan's demeanor, Gerald simply returned his smile as he replied, “Of course! What do we drink today?”

"That's spirit! Also, we'll drink liquor! I happened to have some good liquor boxes in my car that I brought from home! Someone brought a few while we talked! ” said Cavan who did not expect Gerald to agree just like that.

“Hard drinks sound good! In fact, I love drinking liquor!” gerald replied with a laugh.

Since Juliet easily senses that Cavan and the others are not doing well, she initially plans to remind Gerald not to fall in love with her.

However, seeing how careless she acted, Juliet was completely speechless.

'Just let him drink if he really wants to, then!' Juliet thought to herself before looking to the side.

Soon after, her male classmates returned with two boxes of liquor in hand.

“Oh, and by the way, Gerald. My friend here runs a winery! As a result, he could withstand his alcohol very well. Do you have a problem with him being the master when we drink together? After all, we both really want to enjoy a good drink with you! How?” cavan asked as he continued to smile.

"No problem!" gerald replied with a nod.

No one noticed the mischievous glint in Gerald's eyes as he said that. After practicing many of the skills Finnley had taught him, Gerald had trained himself enough to become immune to all forms of alcohol.

In fact, he could now even consume basic poison without having to deal with any side effects. Liquor was nothing to him!

The main reason Gerald agreed with Cavan's proposal was because he knew how much Cavan and other Juliet classmates disliked him. Gerald is no longer as passive as he once was. He wouldn't just hold back all his anger after being hit so much.

Because they want to play with him, he will play with them.
