The door opened and quickly ten security guards, each armed with electric batons. They finally managed to track down the old man with the help of surveillance footage.
“You old b*star! You're there!"
The guards then immediately surrounded him.
“Sorry, Mr Crawford! This old man sneaked into the lobby after taking a shower when we didn't notice him! He apparently heard your room number from the female receptionist then he broke all the machines needed to get up here! Again sorry, Mr. Crawford! We'll beat him up and kick him out, right now!”
Gerald didn't know how to respond back then. Everything about the old man just made him feel uncomfortable.
At that moment, Gerald's phone started ringing. It was a phone call from Queta.
Gerald previously sent Line messages to him about all the new things he found. He must have just read it.
Glancing at the old man again, Gerald then answered the call.
"I think you've read the message, Queta?"
“I've... What should I do now, Gerald? Will I... Will I really be able to find my mother?” ask Queta worriedly.
“Yes, and don't worry. I'm looking for him too. Wait a few more days for me to finish everything I have right now. Once I'm done, I'll go there with you! To be honest I would be worried if you went to Salford Province alone!” gerald replied with a faint smile.
"That sounds good! I feel much more confident now!”
After a short chat, Gerald hung up the phone. Seeing that he had ended his call, the guards were just about to drag the old man out when the old man suddenly started shouting, “Salford Province? My granddaughter, I want to go there too! That's my hometown! With me, grandson!”
With a slight thrashing, the old man managed to escape from the clutches of the security guards. He then rushed towards Gerald before pleading again.
“That's my hometown! My granddaughter, can you take me home?”
Gerald observed the man from head to toe after hearing his plea. The old man seemed to want to go there. He seems pretty agitated too.
When Gerald thought about it, he realized that he did not have too bad an impression of the old man. He was just annoyed by how humiliating and cowardly he was.
"Well, I'll ask someone to send you there!"
Hearing this, Gerald felt as if the old man had finally said something reasonable for once.
“As if Mr. Crawford will need your help! Scram!" shouted one of the guards.
“Huh! Just ask him about the reliability of my information! If I don't tell her where the young girl is, do you think she'll be able to find her that soon? ”
"You!-"
"Enough. Just take him away... Get her a room and food. And find someone to send him back to Salford Province tomorrow!” said Gerald while shaking his head in a resigned manner.
Although the old man claimed that he wanted to help Gerald, Gerald could not help but laugh bitterly at the thought.
After that, he retired for the night.
A quiet and peaceful sleep later, Gerald received another call when morning came. That's Mr. Weyham's granddaughter, Melissa.
It was then that Gerald remembered Melissa's invitation to the meeting she had organized.
Since he was not so close to Melissa, he immediately tried to think of an excuse to reject her.
“Hello, Gerald! From the moment you agreed to attend my meeting, my grandfather was quite happy! He even told me to serve you well!” melissa said by phone.
It's getting awkward for Gerald. Mr. Weyham was there when he agreed, so of course he knew about it. What's more, Melissa is a pretty sincere girl that makes it even harder to turn her down.
He finally gave up and said he was coming.
Not long after, he arrived at the gathering place with his car. He had decided that he would leave after a short stay.
The venue is the Mayberry Grand Hotel.
When she reached the door, Melissa was already waiting for her there.
Beside him stood a mature and somewhat sexy woman who seemed to be in her thirties. Her hair reached all the way to her waist and she also looked very slender. All in all, she looked like a woman with a good disposition.
