“...M-Mrs. Crawford...!” the stuttering of the middle-aged man who was so shocked and horrified by the turn of events that his eyes seemed ready to pop out of their sockets!
Under normal circumstances, Gerald should have melted into a puddle of rotten meat by now. Even so, their original plan was to collect Gerald's corpse after letting it rot there for ten days!
During that ten-day period, the Minshall family had planned to actively figure out how to steal the — that was presumed dead — at least a portion of Gerald's assets and possessions …
No one could have thought he was still alive!
They have been using poison for a thousand years! The most potent poison their family has!
Gerald himself ignores the shocked group of Minshalls, choosing to walk forward and find a cool and safe place where he then lays the now unconscious Yume.
After which, he casually walked over to the tool he previously kicked before saying with a smile on his face, “What is this…? What are you guys so busy with here? Hmm?"
“K-us... um.. K-worried you don't have enough oxygen in the mine so we pumped it for you!” stuttered the middle-aged man who was now drenched in cold sweat. The damp discomfort in her groin only served to signal how frightened she was at the moment.
“Oxygen, you say? But I'm pretty sure that this device emits poisonous gases, and not just any ordinary poison! That's a powerful poison that's causing the inhaler's organs to rot, right? Anyway, with the amount of toxic gas you pumped, I have to say that you guys are really willing to spend! gerald replied while turning off the device that was still spouting poisonous gas.
Knowing that there was no way out of this, the middle-aged man immediately knelt down as he said, “T-please, Mr Crawford! This... It's all just one big misunderstanding!”
Gerald, however, doesn't have any of it.
After receiving a loud slap in the face from Gerald, the man's teeth were instantly thrown everywhere!
“You know, if it wasn't for my unique physique, I would have died there because of you guys!” Gerald growled as his expression suddenly turned into an expression that showed pure anger.
No one exaggerates when they describe the potency of a thousand-year-old poison, and Gerald is well aware that even someone with Christopher's powers will eventually die if he inhales too much gas! The Minshall family is really ruthless…
“T-please... Please save our lives, Mr. Crawford..!” muttered the middle-aged man who was already struggling to speak as snot and tears streamed down his face.
"Oh? You want me to do that, don't you? All right then. I'm personally not going to end you. However, I'll throw you all into the mine to see how you like it! Surviving since then is your own problem!”
With that, Gerald kicked the middle-aged man into the mine as easily as he kicked a ball! After that, he did the same to all the other young Minshall there.
Afterwards, Gerald took a jar containing a thousand-year-old poison from the tool. With the jar in one hand and Yume in the other, he then immediately set off for Minshall Manor.
The manor itself was quite crowded at that moment, with many people gathered in the main hall.
Ever since Lord Minshall previously heard that Gerald had not come out of mine—even after quite a long time—he had a bright smile on his face the entire time which caused his wrinkles to be seen more clearly.
“With the elimination of our enemy, the day for the Minshall family to shine again is before us! While that Gerald had incredible skills and abilities, in the end, he was still a mindless youngster! After all, today is a day for celebration! ” said Lord Minshall with a wry smile on his face.
“You are absolutely brilliant for finding this loophole to get rid of Gerald before he has the chance to bring more trouble for our family in the future, Mr Minshall!”
"Indeed! We will have a big party tonight to celebrate this victory!”
Cheers for cheers came from other Minshall who were all happy and happy.
“Fixed, I wonder how Zoey and Issac are doing.. After going to see Master Ghost for so long, they should have come back by now!” said Zella.
Right at that moment they both ran from the courtyard, looking extremely panicked.
“K-grandpa!” they both shouted simultaneously, their faces completely confused.
"What's wrong? How did it go?”
“M-master Ghost just gave us the first half of the previous reading! He said that to 'reduce the amount of trouble'! However, he had just given us a second half reading not too long ago! ” shouted Zoey.
“Nah, continue! Show me that!"
Obeying his orders, he immediately put a note in Zelda's hands.
On it are the words, 'If you abandon your morality and virtue, endless lamentations, sufferings, and tears will befall you all!'
