Naturally, the person he spoke to was none other than Wagner.

“Please don't be angry, sir! You seem to be similar to someone I know very well! The person in question is quite important to my family, Yarnes, you know ... That's why I want to get to know you a little better! wagner replied respectfully.

Not wanting to lose track of Gerald, he then immediately called his servant to drive the car before trailing Gerald. All of this leads to the current situation.

"Is that 'someone' really similar to me?" ask Gerald.

"Indeed! The resemblance is almost incredible, but let's not talk about it here. Again, please come to the house of the Yarne family with me. You will see what I mean once we are there!”

In response, Gerald only nodded slightly. His first reason to agree was because based on Wagner's expression, the middle-aged man didn't seem to be lying.

The other reason was because too many mysterious and strange incidents had happened lately. Since some seemingly random people were now telling him that they had been waiting for someone similar to him to appear, Gerald couldn't help but think about it.

On the way there, Gerald had a simple chat with Wagner. Through it, he finds out more about Yarnes as well as other incidents.

The Yarne family has a history of over eight hundred years and it all started when they established their family property here centuries ago. The family is considered one of the larger in Halimark City, and is known for its strength and knowledge. Wagner himself was the current ruler of the family.

Wagner also tells Gerald that Yarnes used to be just a fisherman before building their family property. However, after an incident occurred, drastic changes soon occurred which eventually led to the Yarne family's current high status.

“...For you, Mr. Yarne, I hope what you plan to show me makes me curious!” warn Gerald as he walks behind Wagner once they finally get out of the car.

“I wouldn't dare make a mountain out of a mole rat's nest about something like this, sir! I'm assuring you that you'll understand things better once you see it! I truly believe that our meeting is not just a coincidence!” replied Wagner who was currently drenched in cold sweat. After all, the aura Gerald gave off was truly suppressing.

As they walked and talked, Wagner seemed like he was trying to hide something whenever the two passed anyone.

It was only after leading Gerald into the secret chamber when Wagner finally took out a scroll that looked very ancient.

Clearly enduring the pain as he handed the scroll over to Gerald, he then said, "Look, sir!"

Taking the scroll in hand, he felt strange being given the scroll all of a sudden. As a result, he could not help but ask, "...Does this contain gasping?"

“Indeed right, sir! Well, to be more precise, it contains a portrait!”
