True to their words, the duo who just got off the car were actually Gerald and Naomi.
Knowing that, Yazmin felt as if his entire world had just turned upside down.
After all, she assumed that since Naomi might not have anyone capable of supporting her, her husband could easily get rid of her. While it was true that he had met Gerald yesterday, Yazmin only thought he was an ordinary man who would suffer greatly at his hands today!
He could never have imagined that he would become wealthy!
Now sweating profusely and completely unsure of what to do next, her heart skipped a beat as she watched a police car drive to school.
Although there were only two police officers the day before, four of them got out of the car today.
Scanning the crowd, one of the officers glared at Yazmin before saying, “Good afternoon, Miss Milton, and I see that Miss Yallop is also here! There is some progress in this case.. Why don't we talk about this in the principal's office..?”.
“B-please by me...!” yazmin replied, his premonition saying that something was wrong.
Once they were in the office, the pressing atmosphere there caused tremendous discomfort to Yazmin. After all, everyone now looked at him differently.
“...We have received new evidence of the theft, and after digging, we found a new clue! Apparently, someone had forced a student to act on their behalf, and in a very cruel manner as well!” obviously one of the officers to the principal.
“Thank you for your hard work, officer!”
Hearing that, Yazmin's face became paler as his heart skipped a beat. While gulping, she turned to look at her husband, a clear sign that he was asking for her help.
However, just as he took a step back, Yazmin finally realized where her insecurities were coming from.
Yazmin's husband knew for a fact that he could not get any further involved in the matter. The young man who was currently standing in front of him ... Her background was clearly not simple, and with that in mind, her husband knew better than to challenge such a person.
He also knew that if he continued to help Yazmin, he would not be able to get away with it easily. Although he honestly wanted to run out of the office at that moment, he was well aware that some security guards were patrolling right outside the office door.
“Nona Yallop, we suspect you and your husband are involved in a crime! With that in mind, please follow us back to the station for further interrogation! ”
Completely dumbfounded to hear it, Yazmin's husband instantly replied, “I-this is none of my business! That woman is responsible for everything! This doesn't involve me at all!”
After which, he immediately opened the office door and attempted to escape! Naturally, he was immediately arrested by one of the guards who was still patrolling outside the office.
After hearing that, Yazmin instantly started screaming before trying to escape as well! He knew for sure that if they were found guilty of the act, then they would not be released for at least twenty years!
With that in mind, she managed to run past the guards who were still busy pinning down her husband. None of them thought he would run out either!
By the time he arrived at the stairs, all the students who saw him running for his life were completely at a loss as to what was happening.
However, before he could even take the first step, he felt a jolt of electricity running down his spine!
Shouting at the impact of the thrown object, Yazmin collapsed to the floor and saw that he had been hit by an electric rod that was shining blue!
“H-hah? Isn't that Mrs. Yallop...?”
"My Lord! Why are they trying to catch him ?! ”
As the current students instantly covered their mouths while taking a step back, Gerald himself ran to where Yazmin was currently lying.
Seeing the other officers still far away, Gerald leaned over and shocked him with an electric baton once more before they arrived, rendering the woman unconscious.
“If it wasn't for our current location, I hope you know that I've tore you into thousands of pieces now.!” gerald growled while throwing the stick to the side.
With his current temperament, he wouldn't really be Gerald if he didn't treat a cruel woman like Yazmin in the same way he did to that woman in Lugaw City…
