He had done so since half a year barely enough to change his arrogant attitude. As expected, Maia still preferred to be around people of high status in the society like Warren, Jasmine, and Mindy.

No one can really blame him for that.

“Hei Jasmine, look there! See that little candy the kids were holding? I like them very much! I wonder where they bought it!” mindy said a moment later while pointing out the window to some children passing by. The group was currently sitting in a small shop enjoying coffee.

“Oh, you want to? I know where they sell it! It's a little further north, but I can take you there if you want!” answer Maia.

“It would be great!” mindy said excitedly as he turned to look at Gerald.

Mindy then smiled and said, “Come, Sanderson! Join me! After all, you don't seem to have anything else to do! ”

“He does not need to follow. We can go there ourselves! ” said Maia, an insulting tone in her voice.

Before Gerald had a good look at Maia's expression, Mindy was already holding her arm before shouting, “Let's go!”

Jasmine herself smiled before adding, “Continue with Mindy, Sanderson..

Hearing that, Gerald could only shake his head resignedly while following Mindy and Maia to the candy stall.

Although she assumed that Mindy would return to the group after buying the candy, which disappointed her, there were many interesting things that Mindy had never seen before. As a result, it turned into mini shopping as Mindy spent quite a bit of time looking around and buying more stuff.

Finally, Gerald patted Mindy on the shoulder gently, indicating that they should return to the group.

Just as he was about to persuade Mindy to come back again, Gerald felt his ears twitch. A second later, his eyes turned resolute as he turned to look back.

Although Maia and Mindy were very unconscious, Gerald could see ten figures slowly edging towards them!

When Gerald turned to warn Mindy, the figures immediately shot up!

It took less than a few seconds for the men to reach the trio, and the next thing Mindy knew, her arms had been gripped by a few men.

Gerald himself felt a strong hand on his shoulder as the tip of the gun nudged his back.

“Don't you dare move, b*stard! Or I'll kill you!” furious at the person standing behind Gerald ruthlessly.

Although it would honestly be very easy for Gerald to fight them, he did not. After all, with so many people there, he was afraid that the group of men would be careless and accidentally shoot innocent people.
