Invisible Rich (The Invisible Rich Man 2)
Chapter 1055

Lyra found herself walking in the middle of a dense forest on a huge mountain. The air was filled with thick poison and everything felt gloomy and terrifying.

The fact that there seemed to be no one else around made him feel even more frightened.

After walking through the forest for some time, Lyra's ears twitched as the sound of the stream flow rang out. Looking around, he finally found the bright area where the river was. However, it was not the only thing he saw there.

Standing beside the river was a woman wearing white clothes. There was no need to think anymore that anyone who saw the long-haired woman standing in the middle of nowhere would feel extremely frightened.

“...Who... who are you..?” lyra asked meekly as she looked at the woman's back.

“...Save me.. You are the only one who is able to bring him here to save me...!” answer the woman.

Although Lyra was frightened upon hearing it, she could feel a melancholic tone in her voice, and it seemed like the woman was crying as well.

“...W-who is this, 'he' you're talking about...?"

"…Save me…! You're the only one capable of bringing him here to save me..!” repeat the woman while wailing.

To Lyra's horror, the woman then slowly started to turn around. Lyra felt her eyes widen in fear as she looked at the extremely pale face of the woman. That's not the worst part either. The woman shed tears of blood!

Lyra immediately let out a blood-curdling scream and it took a while to finally realize that Gerald's voice was present.

Opening his eyes, he saw Gerald sitting beside him, and he currently had a worried expression on his face as he asked, "What's up, Lyra?"

Throwing himself into his arms, his heart continued pounding for a while. Finally, he managed to calm down a little.

“Is it a nightmare..?” ask Gerald.

“It... That... It was scary.. I dreamt that I was stuck in a dense and gloomy forest with no one else around, it was a woman crying with tears of blood! She... She told me to send someone to save her!” lyra replied while explaining what she dreamed.

Slowly shaking his head, Gerald then said, “Maybe you are too tired due to the stress of everything that happened recently. After all, it will still be a little before dawn, and try not to worry too much about it. I'll be by your side…"

“I... I guess I won't be able to. Since I saw that image of Warhill Mountain, I always felt insecure, the more I felt that the woman's back resembled someone.”.

"…Yes. Remember that statue of the woman I was talking about? Back when we first saw the map? That statue—that has been broken up to waist— looks a lot like the white-clothed woman in my dream! In fact, they look very similar!” replied Lyra who was so scared that her cheeks were red.

“So... Anyway, everything is fine now... It's normal to get nightmares from the terrible picture... Again, I'll be here so rest a little longer..”.

After some persuasion, Lyra finally lay on her bed again. Gerald himself did not take the incident personally.

As soon as dawn arrived, the two woke up separately. Moments later, a servant knocked on the door before saying, “Young master and young miss, the old master ordered everyone in the family to clean themselves up at dawn. After all, all of you will learn the picture of the sun again.”

"Very good!" gerald replied with a nod.

Even from the previous day, his grandfather had prioritized the sun image above all else, telling other Crawford to study it.

After all, he was well aware that alone, one's strength was limited. With so many family members there, they would eventually definitely know more about it.

Gerald knew that his grandfather was only worried about the foretold curse of the sun's image. The curse on which the Crawford family will eventually be exterminated for good. That's why they make preparations to deal with disasters from time to time.

However, by the time Gerald and Lyra arrived at the secret room after clearing themselves, they discovered that although it was still very early in the morning, many, if not all, members of the Crawford family had already gathered there.

The room was so quiet that Gerald felt that even a toddler would be pressured to study together in silence if anyone was present.

Deeper still, Gerald's grandfather is seen studying the map with many others. They seem to have been doing it for a while now.

Seeing that, Gerald pulled Lyra to the side before sitting beside him. He then whispered, “The picture of the sun is our family heirloom, Lyra. See also because grandfather called you too. ”

"Will do!" lyra replied while nodding firmly.

The image itself remained as faint as ever, and no one could discern anything meaningful from it.

As Gerald began to study the image as well, several other thoughts raged in Lyra's head. Basically, she just felt happy that Gerald was finally starting to accept her more.

That was great news for him, and honestly, nothing else was more important to Lyra at the moment.
