Invisible Rich (The Invisible Rich Man 2)
Chapter 968

After saying that, Juliet simply frowned before adding, “...Know it? I don't care anymore. He can do whatever he wants, right?”

With that, Juliet drove the two of them home.

Upon returning home, the two are greeted with the sight of a glamorous woman sitting on the sofa.

As soon as he saw Gerald and Juliet, he immediately stood up and pointed at Gerald before saying, “So he's Gerald? What right does a person like him have to get into the Yowell family?”

The woman who had just insulted Gerald was, of course, Juliet's mother, Heidi.

Heidi had been informed of her daughter's marriage while she was abroad. When she finds out that Juliet has married a cowardly man, she finally passes out! However, when he woke up, he immediately booked a direct flight home. All of that leads to the current scene.

“Such as it has to do with you. My marriage to her is a personal matter that does not require your intervention!” reply Juliet.

“No need to intervene I said you? Tell me, Juliet, what exactly is in your head? Do you know how many rich young masters marriage seekers I have turned down for your sake? Even if you really want to get married without taking me to heart, you shouldn't marry a man like this! Do you even understand the shame and humiliation that our family has to endure because of you ?! ” Heidi replied before throwing the tea cup directly at Gerald.

With a loud bang, the cup broke into pieces right at Gerald's feet!

But Gerald was silent.

“As for you, Tulip! I heard that you are the one who urged the two to get married! Just wait and see how I will deal with you in the future! Thinking that you two would really cause me big trouble when I was overseas looking for buyers in America! ”

After saying that, the mad woman immediately stepped towards Gerald before giving him a hard slap on his face!

“Why don't you see yourself in the mirror for a long time? Do you really think that someone like you is worthy enough to marry into the Yowell family? I'll say this now so listen carefully. If you both know what's best for you, then you should get divorced! Make sure I never see you again!” raung Heidi as she climbs the stairs angrily while knocking down all the flower pots—in the ladder—she can see.

While Gerald could easily avoid Heidi's slap, he was too distracted by something Heidi said.

Apparently, Heidi actually went to America to find a buyer. Since Gerald was well aware that the Yowell family was not a merchant, there was no other reason for a rich mistress like him to look for a buyer overseas unless it came to the Ginseng King.

After all, since Heidi was going abroad, it meant that the Ginseng King had to be with her.

That's the whole point of how Heidi managed to actually land a slap in Gerald's face.

Anyway, when Juliet saw that Gerald still looked dazed as he returned to their room, she said, “Because he slapped you so hard, so, I will definitely add an extra hundred thousand dollars as compensation when we finally end our relationship. One year contract!”

“...Do you really think that money means everything?” gerald asked suddenly as he raised his head to look at her.

“Isn't that? Ha ha! Didn't you agree to do all this from the beginning because of the money?” juliet replied with a disdainful tone in her voice.

Hearing that, Gerald chose not to respond. Instead, he headed to the bathroom outside to wash his face.

However, as he was washing his face, he caught a glimpse of a shadowy figure moving very quickly outside the bathroom window from the corner of his eye.

After training for so long, Gerald knew that he could trust his vigilance. There must have been someone out there before!

Wiping his face dry, Gerald only looked at the window for a moment. After that, instead of walking out the door, she instead jumped out the bathroom window! Noticing the shadowy figure right in front, he immediately began to chase after others.

It was clear to Gerald that the unnamed person was someone who was very fast and skilled. After all, no matter how much Gerald increased his speed, the fleeing shadow always seemed to keep a 'safe distance' from him.

The term, 'safe distance', was used by Gerald to describe the distance from which a person would be safe from being killed by another person through the use of a hidden weapon. The more he thought about it, the more Gerald realized that it was possible that the shadow person was actually more skilled than him.

Finally, the man stopped moving as soon as he arrived at the boat near the moat. Gerald himself caught up with the shadow a few seconds later and was finally able to see what the person looked like.

Under the moonlight, the figure looked like a man with a black robe covering him. However, the robe itself efficiently covered most of the man's features, leaving only his eyes visible.

Frowning, Gerald then asked, “....Who are you?”
