Upon hearing Gerald's casual reply, all of Quantock's eyes present instantly widened in great fury.
"You…!" angered Xylon whose expression turned extremely ugly.
“...Since you already said that, does that mean you can split the stone, Brother Gerald? If yes, please expand our insight...!” added another old man as he and the others gritted their teeth.
"Of course I can. What's so weird about splitting it? ” asked Gerald as he looked at them before shaking his head with a bitter smile.
“Facts are fun, Zekterite is immune to lightning because it has similar properties to it. For further clarification, there was a spiritual item that was naturally produced between heaven and earth. Thus, the item will gain immense resistance to the elements it is adapted to. Even so, magic arts can be used to split Zekterite as they are much stronger than ordinary lightning!” obviously Gerald.
“You stupid young man! How dare you brag shamelessly about nonsense like magic arts!” reply one of the elders who could not stand how arrogant Gerald was.
Xylon himself did not bother to stop the old man. After all, what the elder had just said was what he wanted to reveal as well.
“Omong is empty, you say? All right, allow me to show you 'that shit!'” gerald replied with a subtle smile while fusing his fingers as if he was holding a sword blade …
After muttering a barely audible magic spell, light began to shine from where his fingers were pinched .. before what looked like an electric ball formed between his fingers!
Gazing with wide eyes at the chuckling cerulean ball that seemed to burst with electrical energy, everyone found themselves taking a step back as Gerald flicked the ball of lightning upwards!
“...A-what..?” stuttered those who could still speak in a nervous voice as they continued to stare at Gerald with fear and disbelief.
Before they could even recover from their shock, the sound of an explosion suddenly exploded from the sky, causing everyone's hair to stand up as a huge blue lightning strike struck Zekterite!
While the scene was no less dazzling, it also instilled great fear among all who witnessed it.
Seconds after another explosive sound was heard, several jaws instantly fell as Quantock realized that the stone had been smashed to pieces from that one strike!
As the debris settles and the wild wind subsides, the night soon returns to its initial peace and silence…
Of course, the biggest change was how astonished all the Quantocks were. For a time that seemed to be forever, none of them dared to speak or breathe until finally, Xylon knelt in front of Gerald.
His actions prompted the rest of Quantock to do the same as Xylon shouted, "You... You really are a very strong person, Master Crawford...!"
While the Quantocks kneeled in front of Gerald, a young man—who participated in the festival—can be seen standing in front of a middle-aged man in Laidler's palace workroom.
"So tell me, Stetson, how is your relationship right now with the young lady of the Waddys?" ask the middle-aged man.
