“Second young master, I don't know what's wrong with your dog today! They just refuse to eat! As if that wasn't strange enough, they continued to bite their chains with panicked expressions on their faces! Could they have found something when we took them to the mountains three days ago?” one housekeeper told Yuvan while the others were still enjoying their lunch.

“Find something? Nothing comes to mind. They may be sick, so call a vet to check it out!” tease Yuvan.

However, when his sentence ended, a servant came tripping before saying, “Second young master! Bad news! Two of your dogs just died! I don't even know what's going on! One moment they suddenly started acting crazy and the next, both of them were already foaming at their mouths!

Since the maid was well aware of how much the second young master was fond of keeping dogs, she immediately informed Yuvan of the discovery to avoid unnecessary trouble.

"What?! Take me to them!” yuvan replied anxiously as all the other Moldell family members followed him backwards.

The backyard itself is home to nearly a hundred pet dogs. Unlike how they usually behave, however, they all seem to be completely insane today! Many of them even struggled and gnawed at their iron cages!

During the short time Yuvan was there, he watched the death of the other three dogs anxiously.

“Come to the vet and have them see what's wrong with these dogs!” yuvan's orders as many of the other Moldells began to panic.

What's the cause of all this? It was as if those dogs felt some sort of imminent disaster!

Since no dog can be placated, veterinarians cannot even diagnose them correctly because it is impossible to check one of them without being seriously injured first.

By nightfall, more than half of the dogs were barely alive.

Around that time, an acquaintance of Quillan saw him move somewhat stealthily. Raising an eyebrow, he then called out, “Hey, have you heard the dogs go crazy? The last place they visited was Everdare forest so it must have something to do with that place! After all, no one could guess what could trigger such a reaction between them!”

Although he was clearly talking to Quillan, Quillan herself ignored him, sneering as she continued walking down the hallway where the rooms were. Walking towards him, his acquaintance then patted him on the shoulder before adding, "Hey, I'm talking to you, Quillan!"

A little flinched, it was obvious that Quillan's mind was so busy that she didn't even realize she was the one her friend had spoken to.

“...Eh? They are just dogs! What's the problem even if they die? By the way, where are you going, Luis?” answer Quillan quickly.

"I understand. Well, then hurry up and finish your work! If nothing else, I'll talk to you later!

“However, it is almost dark.. And besides, where are you going..?” luis muttered to himself while scratching the back of his head while staring at Quillan who instantly blurred as soon as his sentence ended.

After confirming that Luis was no longer there, Quillan rubbed his hands together while knocking on Xavia's door.

"Who's there?" xavia asked while opening the door.

As he looked at the sad expression on Quillan's face, a hint of disgust radiated momentarily in Xavia's eyes.

“...Ah, this is you, Mr Quillan! What brings you here?" tanya Xavia was a bit relaxed.

Quillan herself could not remain silent at all. After all, Xavia was currently wearing a short, well-fitting dress and her hair was left untouched.

While gulping as he continued to stare at the alluring woman standing in front of him, Quillan then replied, “Because I've done what you wanted, you know, I'm here to ask when you'll fulfill half of your promise.”

Hearing that, Xavia frowned slightly even though she quickly hid her disgust behind the facade.

“About that, Mr. Quillan, it is true that I have agreed to repay your kindness, and I will definitely do so. However, wouldn't it be better to let the discussion wait until morning? After all, it was getting dark and Mr. Yuvan was still very anxious because of his dogs. You should go to cheer him up! ” said Xavia while immediately trying to close the door behind him.
