Seeing him in such a state made Xavia feel extremely uncomfortable. After all, her feelings for him were still very vague. However, she knew for sure that even though she hated him, she still loved him more.

"Please ... Please wake up now ...!" the distressed girl cried as she slowly slumped to the floor to sit beside Gerald.

This man once gave her the most beautiful thing in the world. A love that meant he didn't mind losing everything just for her, and Xavia was well aware of it all along.

“Gerald... I know you hate me. After all, I, of all people, ended up bullying you like everyone else back then… I don't want to continue living a life where I have to be constantly humiliated and underestimated ... You know, even as a child, my biggest fear was always someone else who underestimated me! I.. I just want others to envy and adore me…! But all that doesn't matter anymore because regardless of how much fame I gain, I realize that you will always be the only one in my heart, Gerald, Gerald!” xavia said as she placed her head on Gerald's chest while sobbing.

At that moment, the unconscious Gerald suddenly started to wrinkle his face into a slight frown.

A few seconds later, Gerald's body suddenly started emitting a red glow!!

Raising his head in shock, Xavia watched in shock as a searing surge of energy suddenly burst forth from Gerald's body! As his hand was still on his chest as it happened, Xavia quickly pulled him back in pain. It felt as if he had just touched a hot iron!

While shouting in shock and pain, he immediately got up and took a few steps back as he stared at Gerald with wide eyes.

'...Wh-what...? Whatisit? Why is his body so hot?'

As Xavia tried to rationalize what had just happened, the red light quickly faded and Gerald's face turned pale again.

Still very confused by what had just happened, Quillan walked up to him suddenly before saying, “Time is up, Miss Yorke! If the next person in the shift arrives, then it will be even harder for you to leave! It's time you left!”

Not not noticing Quillan's sad smile as she continued to look at Gerald anxiously, she simply nodded before replying, “...

“Heh, that person is gone, Miss Yorke. There's nothing more you can do for him. Also, I hope you remember your promise with me. Once your business is done in the next few days, you should give me what I deserve! Understand?" quillan said, as he tried to make use of it again.

"Let's leave this place first, Mr. Quillan!" xavia replied while quickly dodging his attack and leaving the area.

“You will definitely be mine…! Heh!” quillan murmured to himself as he failed to notice Gerald's slowly increasing wrinkles.

Fast forward to the morning three days later, the Moldell family seemed to be very busy.

Decades ago, Kort secretly built up his own power in Logan Province, unbeknownst to the main family of Moldell. He did so because of his greed for worldly wealth and prosperity.

Slowly but surely, the Moldells continued to grow and annex to become the largest family in Weston to date. While all seems to be going well, their main goal has always been to take over the Crawford family on Northbay.

Once they obtained the Crawford family, then the Moldells would definitely have almost unlimited power. Now that they have finally obtained Gerald, they can use it as a bargaining tool to achieve their dreams! That clearly explains why the Moldell family is so excited right now.

In regards to their plans, they were also busy preparing to move their families back south.

It was almost noon when everyone finally relaxed for a little while for a family lunch.

“The head of the family will arrive in Logan Province around tomorrow night! I wonder how he will reward us! Ha ha ha!"

“How else can he reward us? Remember, the chief once mentioned that Gerald could easily be exchanged for at least half of the Crawford family's assets! Once he achieves that, he can easily hand us one of the many territories he will soon be in full control of!”

"Ha ha ha! Just one area? I'm afraid you really underestimated the true power of Crawford! Did you know that the Crawford family industry is spread all over the world? A territory for them could be very equivalent to having power over an entire country!”
