"I-I will tell you as long as you promise to accept me!" alice said as she held Gerald's arm.

“Tell me!” gerald replied while pushing his hand away.

Wiping away her tears, Alice then began by explaining, “...That all started on the night when we were at the seaside hotel..”.

After listening to his explanation for a while, Gerald began to see the bigger picture. Basically, Alice had drugged him that night with the intention of sleeping with him in order to get pregnant. Her thought process back then was that if she managed to conceive her baby, then she could definitely become part of a rich and prestigious family.

Unfortunately, his menstruation came early so his plan was instantly ruined! At that moment, Alice was so angry at herself that she wanted so badly to slap herself for no reason!

However, she smeared the sheets with a bit of blood, under the guise of it because she lost her virginity to him.

With that in mind, it was clear that he had lied to Gerald about Mable as his biological child.

Regardless, Alice was filled with hatred and anger when Gerald told her that he had to rush to see Mila back then. As if adding insult to injury, Gerald even gave him twelve million dollars and told him to stay somewhere else before escaping!

'I love you so much... How can you treat me like this...?'

Deeply saddened by all this, he decided to make a mountain out of a mole's nest. He will search the Crawford— family island which belongs to the Gerald— sisters and take the items into his own hands!

Although he immediately bought himself a ship that morning to find the island, he was unable to find it no matter how hard he tried!

Shortly after, the night came. Sensing the sea breeze blowing on her face as she looked into the vast ocean, Alice was just about to return in disappointment when she discovered a strange fleet of ships.

Deciding to ask them about the island before giving up for the night, Alice is thrilled when the people on one of the ships promise that they will take her to Jessica's island.

To his chagrin, he soon discovers that he has been lied to when they take him to an unknown beach, where the Minshall family lives.

The young master of the family leaves with Issac Minshall, and he is fascinated when he sees her while they are still at sea, prompting her to lie to him so that he will be hers.

While Isaac was definitely not a good man, he could not touch her upon hearing that she was pregnant. It was because one of the many rules that had been set in that place.

Sometime later, Alice finds a way to escape.

Fortunately, he had heard of an extraordinary person named Master Ghost during his stay there. The man was purportedly an expert in astronomy and geology, and was renowned for being able to make careful calculations to speculate events with extremely high accuracy. He also did not belong to any particular power.

For all those reasons, Alice thought that she was the right person to look for. Of course, the price to hire him was not a small amount. Nine million dollars, to be exact.

However, once he paid that amount, he would be left with almost no money. What was the point of running away if he had to live like a poor person afterwards? It made him think of Gerald, which sparked his interest in trying to find the island again.

Before escaping, he met the Ghost Master first. After hearing her financial fear, Master Ghost shared relevant thoughts with Alice. According to him, the ancestors of the Minshall family had dug up a pair of jade talismans from the tomb of the sea king many years ago. The spell itself is said to have the power to connect bloodlines between three people.

Even if he managed to obtain the talisman, however, he still needed personal items from the person with the bloodline that the talisman was trying to emulate. Since Alice left the hotel in a hurry in the morning after she drugged Gerald, the only personal item of hers she had was her shirt. She had held it up at the time to use as proof of their relationship when she finally met Jessica.

Hearing that, Master Ghost told him that while his effectiveness would be slightly weaker, ordinary machines would not be able to distinguish between lineages so easily.

Afterwards, Alice steals the jade talisman before escaping from the Minshall Manor. Once she managed to do that, she also adopted the most suitable baby she could find in the orphanage.

After Master Ghost managed to find Jessica's island, he shared the information with Alice. Before ending her ministry, she also told him that she was born to be an honorable and wealthy woman.

That was what drove him to continue his dream until today's events finally happened.

Although he had escaped a year ago, he had spent about half a year hiding from the Minshall family who were still actively looking for him everywhere. Of course, he had finally made it to the island safely.

After hearing all that, Gerald finally understood most of the situation. However, there is now a new problem with the equation.

Lyra had previously said that the sun image had shown a jade charm on several occasions whenever she asked him to tell her where the white-clothed woman was.

Could it be that the location of the lady in white clothes was where the jade charm was found? In other words, an ancient tomb?
