"Bring Lovewell!" the young man's orders as the frown on his forehead deepened.

Hearing that, the man's subordinates brought the severely injured Zander and Caleb before him.

"Are you really sure that you weren't lying when you said he was coming to the Everdare Forest?" ask the young man.

“Why did I even lie to you about such a thing, Mr Moldell? He actually said that he was heading to this place! Also, I hope you realize that it wasn't the Lovewell family that killed eight members of the Moldell family! Please remember that..!” zander replied, a look of fear on his face.

The young man who asked the question was named Yuvan Moldell, and he was the second son of the Moldell family head. Zander himself had heard stories about him a long time ago. Stories of how cold and cruel the man's methods were.

Being a businessman, Zander knew that he could not afford to further offend either the Gerald or the Moldells. However, when the Moldell family sent people to investigate once they learned of the death of eight members of the Moldell family inside the Lovewell Manor, the, he had no other choice but to tell them honestly where Gerald was.

That was the reason why Yuvan and his subordinates were currently conducting their search for Gerald here.

“The Moldells have always hated Gerald so much, and it has been more than a year since the Moldells actively fought the Crawfords. Therefore, I really hope that you don't lie to me for your sake. After all, it would be best for you not to engage in our battle!” yuvan replied casually.

"B-but of course, of course!" zander replied hurriedly.

"Second young master, we may have found his trail!" report one of Yuvan's subordinates at that moment as he walked over to face the man.

Long story short, they had found several corpses lying on the ground dressed as villagers from the foot of the mountain. Moreover, their corpses were still quite fresh and there were some signs of a fight at the scene. They can also find faint traces of trampled green plants that lead deeper into the forest.

Suddenly, the search dog brought by the Moldells suddenly started barking while facing a certain direction!

Hearing that, his subordinates directly complied.

Moments later when from within the valley that lay ahead, someone shouted, "We have found it!"

Upon hearing that, Yuvan sped up his pace as they all arrived at the entrance of the cave. Beside him, there was a huge boulder that was definitely used to block anyone from entering.

Although one of Yuvan's men desperately held onto his bloody neck as he lay on the ground, yuvan's full attention was on the pale, lifeless-looking man lying motionless inside the cave.

“I... I finally found you, Gerald!” yuvan said as he furrowed his brows before turning around to look at his injured subordinate.

"What's wrong with him?"

“He was attacked by a vicious dog there, second young master! Seeing the dog serve as Gerald's protector, I'll kill him soon!” obviously Yuvan.

With that, the subordinates began to approach the puppy with a leash in hand. After successfully welding the puppy, he immediately growled before barking wildly, all the feathers on his body standing upright as if ready to launch an attack!

Hearing the frightening bark, some subordinates could not help but retreat from it. The puppy was so intimidating that some men even ended up ruffling their pants!

"…Hmm? Interesting. Don't kill it first. Bring it back to Moldell Manor along with Gerald!” yuvan orders when he sees his subordinates' reaction to the puppy.

Obeying his orders, some subordinates then began to move Gerald out of the cave. After taking him out, an old man—who had been standing beside Yuvan— checked Gerald's pulse and realized that his pulse was very weak, he said, “Don't everyone say that this young man is very strong and capable? He looked half dead to me! Although honestly it's a good thing. Otherwise, he would definitely try to escape again! ”

His comments about Gerald's situation were definitely not something that mattered. The old man simply stated it without thinking too much about it.

However, after hearing that, Yuvan turned to look at him coldly before replying, “A run away? He's in my hands now. Even if he wakes up, do you really think he will be able to escape under my supervision? ”
