Chapter 866

Obeying his orders, several subordinates then descended the stairs.

However, even after they descended, no sounds followed. Everything's calm. Too quiet.

It was at that moment that Shane realized that something was terribly wrong.

“You're there, you stay on guard here. You all follow me down!” shane orders as the only subordinate standing upright in the room while the others descend the stairs with Shane.

However, when Shane arrived at the last step, he stopped. The room was pitch-black and no sound was heard.

Before he could even go any further, he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head! He could only assume that someone had smashed his head with a stick before he finally fainted.

It's late at night when the exhausted Gerald and Bea finally make it back to Bea's room. As she fell asleep almost instantly, Gerald covered her with a blanket before leaving the room.

Standing right outside his room were a group of bodyguards wearing black suits.

“Huh! The Long family will have trouble sleeping well tonight, Mr. Crawford! After all, they had just lost one of the most capable people! As expected, they are looking for Shane everywhere as we speak! ” said Philip with a smile.

"Indeed! Why don't we let them look for him for seven days as well! Imagine their reaction after a week without their precious grandson!” add another subordinate.

“I really don't have time to play around with the Long family for a week. Speaking of Longs, they're celebrating some kind of event tomorrow, right? Perfect. Since Shane gave us a big reward by threatening Bea for seven days in a row, we will go to that event tomorrow with our own presents! gerald said with a cold look in his eyes.

"Prepare her!"

"Okay, Mr Crawford!"

It was the next day at the Long family home when Mr Long asked, “How is the situation? Did any of you find Shane?”

Mr. Long himself was wearing a formal suit. After all, they were celebrating a special event today. Some of their family members came with more distinguished guests. While the atmosphere was rather lively, everyone from the Long family was honestly filled with worry and anxiety.

“We haven't, Teacher. However, from what we can say, Yaleman should be behind this. Anyway, Miss Bea was rescued last night. However, when we headed to the Yaleman family to investigate, we were unable to find a single trace of him!” said the butler Mr. Long.

"Gerald?" said the butler, dumbfounded.

“This is not the first time I have heard his name.. From what I remember, he seems to have a grudge against Mr. Jonah in Mayberry, Gerald seemed to be there when Mr. Jonah went missing in Salford Province ,”.

Hearing that, Mr. Long clenched his staff tightly.

“The Crawford brothers actually deliberately fought Longs! How pathetic Jonah was. Until recently, I had no idea who caused Jonah's disappearance. As it turns out, it was Crawford's brother again!” master Long growled as his gaze turned cold.

“It looks like I need to meet them in person sometime. If they really were the culprits that caused the disappearance of Jonah and Shane, I don't care what kind of influential supporters they have! They had to pay the expensive price of a terrible death!”

"Mastering! People from the Quarrington family have arrived!” a servant said as he approached the man who still held the grudge.

However, his mood instantly changed as he realized who was here. With a happy nod, he then said, “Alright, hurry up and welcome them in!”

With their current strength, the Long Family was still too weak to fight against the Crawford siblings. If Longs really wanted to take down siblings, then their best bet to achieve that was to cooperate with strong people from all walks of life.

“Can't we refuse to participate, Giya..?”

Outside the Long family home, some women nervously suggested against joining the Long family special event.

“What to fear? While I am equally unwilling to be here, I have to come on behalf of my father because Longs invited my entire family. Besides, I was the one holding a grudge against them yet I was barely afraid at all! Why are you afraid?” giya said as she looked at Marilyn and her other friends.

“Yes, the Long family is the most powerful family in Yanken. Of course I would be nervous coming to a place like this. After all, look around us! Everyone there might have a great chance!” marilyn replied with a trembling voice.

“Well, I'm here, right? I have always accompanied you in the past, so you should accompany me this time!” giya said in a playful tone.

“Good... We will enter with you!” marilyn answered while sticking out her tongue.

"…Huh? Hi Marilyn, Giya! Look over there! There is a luxury car team coming here!” squealing one of Giya's friends was shocked as she pointed towards the car that was speeding towards the manor gate.
