“Lying? I don't know what you're talking about!” raquel replied while crossing his arms.
With quite a number of people in the middle looking at them now, Raquel really wished he could hide from all this shame.
“...Why... Why are you acting like this..?” asked Marven while taking a deep breath.
In response, Raquel simply looked to the side in silence.
“Hah, so you're Marven, right? Raquel's childhood friend or what? I've heard enough about you! Just look at you! Get out of my sight already! ” cried Jefferson while hanging the keys to his Audi A6 car right in front of Marven's face.
“Halo, hello! Your name is Jeff, right? I've been waiting for you to come!” said a suitable employee suddenly as he rushed to shake hands with Jefferson, a friendly smile on his face.
“Hei, Aaron! It's been a long time since we last met! Sorry to wait!” jefferson replied while returning a handshake.
"No problem! All right, so let's get straight to business. I've picked some pretty decent places for you! Let's see them! And don't worry about the price first, I will definitely give you a discount!” said Aaron.
“That sounds good, let's choose one now!”
After saying that, Jefferson started dragging Raquel's arm with him. Since Raquel didn't really want to talk to Marven anymore, he simply followed her, standing beside her.
As he left, Marven slowly gathered his thoughts again. Remembering Gerald's advice must have helped him stay calm. Too many things had happened too quickly before, which was why he could not hold back his anger for a moment.
Seeing that Marven had managed to calm herself down, Gerald simply patted her on the shoulder and brought her back to their starting chair.
“Sial, Aaron! How can an office space be so expensive now? It's not at all like I saw online!”
It wasn't even long before Jefferson's call sounded from a distance.
“Really, Jefferson? Do you really think this is too expensive? I'll tell you that this is the cheapest one here! Their placement is pretty good too! ”
“Termurah? It costs about a million dollars a year! You might as well rob us clean! ” Jefferson replied, the shock on his face looks completely for everyone to see.
This is all too much for Jefferson. While it was true that his family was quite wealthy, if he would actually spend a million dollars just to pay rent alone, his bank account would be empty in no time!
Taking that cost range into consideration, he had calculated that along with Edificio's popularity and the fact that it was close to his school, he would get a very sweet deal.
Little did he expect for things that did not go his way in the slightest.
Three hundred and fifty thousand dollars is just the base rental price. As it turned out, the area around the building had a rental price that could easily reach over a million dollars!
It was then that Raquel finally realized that luck alone would not make him live life. Life is not that easy.
A million dollars just for rent? In dreams!
"There's really no way I can afford it, Aaron!" jefferson said, still looking surprised.
He then turned to face Raquel before saying, “Let's find another place, Raquel. This is really too much!”
Hearing that, Raquel felt disappointed.
Edificio is a popular place, famous for having a high level of consumption. In other words, only those with high status were able to work in it.
Knowing that he could not match that status slightly hurt Raquel's self-esteem.
He also really liked the area because it was very close to the campus. Imagine being able to set up his training center here! That would definitely help increase his center's publicity alongside his big ego!

“Yeah, well then..” replied Raquel with a nod, looking very disappointed.
Hearing that, Aaron's enthusiastic attitude changed drastically. After a bit of small talk, he immediately rushed over with his documents.
“Come to Raquel. It's still early enough, after all! We can still go look elsewhere. I'm sure there are plenty of others with more manageable annual rent!” jefferson.
