Even though thinking about it was already frightening, Rose remained calm.

"Continue!" gerald replied while nodding.

“To be honest, I think Yura and her family are a bit suspicious. After all, they clearly have a motive to do something like this, ” Philip said.

Hearing that, Gerald nodded before replying, “Indeed. I suspect they are also the culprits. I've ordered some people to investigate more about them. After all, his family was a bit too quiet this time, contrary to how they usually behaved. It just feels. Although that's the vibe I get from them, I really hope they don't get involved this time.”

At that moment, Sheldon knocked on the door before entering.

“You haven't rested since you returned, Sir. You must be exhausted. I've ordered a waiter to make you soup, ” said the butler.

“Thank you, Sheldon. How's my grandma doing? Is she okay?” ask Gerald.

Just as Gerald was about to taste the soup, Sheldon opened his mouth even though no word came out. In the end, he refrained from saying anything.

I remember Bea telling me something before I left about a week ago, he said that he wanted to help the Yaleman people solve the problem with foreign loans? Or did something happen to her even before she managed to do something?” gerald asked as he lowered his bowl of soup at that moment.

After experiencing so many things, Gerald was no longer the gullible and naive person he once was. After all, he had met so many evil and vile people who had put him in the most dangerous situation.

Despite that, he was still a little reluctant to believe that the people from the Yaleman family had a part in all of this. Although he did not have a good relationship with Rose and her family, in the end, they were still elders.

That's why he refused to take the first step until real evidence was found. In a perfect scenario, he would rather the perpetrators admit their mistakes and consequently, correct them.

However, he knew that the possibility did not exist. After all, there were now clearly people who had gone too far so they were willing to hurt their own family members! It was almost as if they were forcing Gerald to use ruthless tactics on them intentionally for the sake of solving the problem.

"No need to investigate further... Just force the truth from them!" gerald's orders.

As they are now willing to hurt her directly, Gerald grows increasingly concerned about Bea's safety.

Gerald had previously assumed that they would not hurt Bea because they could still get the same benefits by approaching her. Moreover, they were still family in the end. Surely they wouldn't do anything to really hurt Bea, would they?
