After thinking about it for some time, Gerald finally gently patted Bea on the head before saying, “I'll tell you about it someday. Anyway, it's your birthday tomorrow! I'll prepare a little something for you, so be prepared to be surprised when you receive your gift!”

"Huh? What's the prize?” bea asked while sticking out her tongue playfully.

“It wouldn't be surprising if I told you the answer now, would it? Just wait for tomorrow,” replied Gerald with a faint smile before returning to his room.

Although she smiled as she left, Bea could feel how sad Gerald was. This was not the first time he had noticed it either.

While her cousin always behaves like a caring older brother, she can tell that she constantly has something weighing on her mind. He never seems to be really happy.

Bea suspects it has something to do with what happened between her and her future sister-in-law. However, because she refused to talk about it, Bea did not continue to pry for respect.

As her cousin, Bea naturally felt the urge to help her, and she knew that the easiest way—and very likely her only— to help in such a situation was to distract her from her gloom.

The problem is that Gerald doesn't really have a lot of people to have fun with in the Yanken, or at least that's what he thinks.

As the gears on Bea's head begin to spin, time passes and his birthday finally arrives.

While she originally planned to make a reservation at the restaurant that morning, she received a notice from her family before she could even call.

Apparently his family is having a party to celebrate the implementation of the project. All family members were invited to attend. After all, it's been a long time since such a celebration party—about signing a contract—was held.

From Bea's memories, the last time a similar party was held was about twelve years ago. This could only signify that the party this time would be extraordinarily grand. So majestic, that Lady Yaleman's eighty birthday party might not even be able to match her.

As one of the two main people in charge of the project, Bea had to stand at the door with Yura to greet the guests.
