When Gerald pondered the statement for a while, he suddenly heard another woman — who had been standing still by the side all this while — shouted!
Peter himself now looked very worried, and he immediately pointed to the screen before shouting, "Gerald, look there!"
Turning to look at the screen—which still displays Warhill—Gerald Island quickly realized that humans are now present. Of course, that was not the reason the girls were shouting.
The reason they were so frightened was because the people displayed nothing more than corpses that looked like they had died a terrible death!
From what Gerald could have expected, there were about a hundred great masters that died—who might come from everywhere just to participate in the pledge that— at the scene of the disaster.
Looking at the sea of corpses, Gerald's eyelids instantly started twitching rapidly as he thought, 'Grandfather…!'
He was right to worry. After all, his grandfather had gone for the promise of holy water recently.
As he observed the many corpses—to see if his grandfather one of them—Gerald immediately saw the corpse of Christopher! From the looks of it, his chest was like it was broken by the force of a palm. The strange thing was, Gerald noticed that Christopher's mirror was lying right next to his corpse!
Gerald vividly remembered that he had placed his grandfather in charge of the divine artifact before they went to pledge. With that in mind, how could it go back into Christopher's hands? However, the most shocking thing was the fact that the artifact had been smashed to pieces!
“A-they're all dead..!” peter shouted as he jumped to where Gerald and Zyla were, a very surprised look on his face.
As Gerald continued to scan the screen to see if his grandfather's corpse also existed, the scene suddenly changed again…
The screen now displays an underground area that is no stranger to Gerald. It was the place where the god had been buried.
Whatever the case, there was unsettling silence in the unchanging scene, prompting Gerald to ponder, 'What do you want to tell me ...? I've sealed this place, haven't I…?'
As Gerald continued to wonder what all this meant, the screen immediately switched to another view.
Before Gerald could say anything, he suddenly heard Peter shout, "The Crawford Manor?!"
“...Oh? You know where my house is, sir..?” ask Gerald.
Hearing that, Peter only snorted while nodding. After which, he turned to look at the screen again, his eyes narrowed and seemed to be deep in thought.
Gerald continued to look at the screen as well. In a way, the way Mackusion describes his family home is similar to previous drawings of ancient tombs. In other words, it was filled with frightening silence and little or no change could be detected within the vast Crawford family home.
Not long before the image switched again, this time displaying a vast, starry sky in the depths of space…
Seemingly wandering aimlessly, Gerald watched the massive Sun League spacecraft soar into view ... On one hand, it almost feels like a ghost wandering the universe ...
Shortly after, even the shadow disappeared, and that was when the Mackusion light slowly disappeared before finally falling back into Gerald's palm.
