“What's up, pretty? Didn't you bring money?" said one slacker as he and a few others started walking towards him.
When one of them tried to touch Giya's chin, she immediately dodged. Seeing that, the other slackers immediately grabbed Giya's arm, intending to harass her.
Realizing that the struggle won't take him anywhere, Giya finds an opportunity to bite off one of the slacker's fingers!
Shouts of pain rang out as the bitten slacker held onto his severely injured finger.
Seeing that, no one dared to make another move on him. This was because they all saw killing intent in his eyes.
However, due to her previous fatigue and sudden adrenaline rush, Giya now feels very dizzy. As a result, he immediately fell to the ground, barely conscious.
Understanding that Giya had almost no energy left to wake up, the slackers turned to face the other person who was now walking towards them. One of them later complained, “Isn't this too cruel, boss? You didn't warn us that this woman would be this cruel! My finger almost broke, you know?”
However, the young man simply threw a card at them before saying, “This is the cost of his treatment. The password is today's date!”
“B-holy shit! Thank you boss!" shouted all the slackers simultaneously with joy.
If that's not clear, the slackers are just messing with Giya under the young man's orders.
Realizing the voice was anywhere, Giya slowly raised her head to see if it was really her. As he had expected, the young man in question, of course, Gerald!
“A-I know you won't leave me...!” yelled Giya while crying.
While Gerald easily surpasses him before, once he is convinced that Giya has lost her sight, he continues to watch her from there, worried that something will happen to him before he returns to the hotel.
Unexpectedly, Giya chased after him all day.
He actually thought that Giya would eventually give up once he could no longer see her. Of course, that didn't happen. As a result, he had hired those slackers before to scare him back into the city.
'This girl ...' Gerald thought inwardly as he sighed.
To be honest, Gerald's only wish is for Giya to completely give up on him. She deserves to live a normal life without the pain of missing her, which is why she is desperately trying to end everything now rather than prolong her suffering.
Giya herself—who was still crying— shook slowly before falling to the ground, completely fainting.
Feeling guilty, Gerald immediately ran towards him while shouting, “Giya!”
However, the moment he picked it up, Gerald immediately sensed something was amiss.
"…Hmm? You ... You been sick all this time? ”
While he initially thought that he was only bluffing when he fell to the floor at the hotel, after checking his pulse, he now realized how much pain he was in. With this realization, Gerald then quickly took her elsewhere.
When Giya finally woke up again, she was immediately greeted by the buzz of a helicopter. His body felt floating though now was much more relaxed than before when the pain was so excruciating that he felt confident that he would die.
Looking around, he realized that he was lying on a leisurely chair, and his body was covered with clothes. However, the moment he saw Gerald sitting beside him, his eyes instantly widened as he shouted, “G-Gerald?! W-do I have a dream now..?”
“You stupid girl! Do you know how severe your illness is? If you don't bump into me, your life will be in danger now!” gerald replied with a slight frown.
“So you finally admit that you are Gerald! Why should you lie to me? Are you really reluctant to meet me? Just so you know, I previously had the thought that if I still can't find you anyhow, then I better die!” giya said while ignoring Gerald's reply, her eyes were now red and teary.
Gerald who was sitting next to him was now much more mature compared to the one he had known a year and a half ago.
There's a lot Giya wants to learn, and that drive comes from the need to always have a sense of security while on Gerald's side.
“Where is our destination..?” ask Giya.
“We will return to Crawford manor in Northbay. I'll ask some special doctors to treat you once we get there,” replied Gerald.
To be honest, Gerald currently found it hard to look Giya in the eye. After all, it was a lie for him to claim that he felt nothing for the woman now.
Whatever the case may be, he really wishes her all the best.
“...So... Where have you been for the past year and a half..?”.
