Nathan took a deep breath and a sigh flowed through his mouth. He played the fingers on his hand before then he looked at the girl's eyes again.
"Your father has a reputation for liking se*s with many Jessica women, everyone in the organization knows that." Nathan finally admits it to Jessica. "I doubt your father would have told you that, but he's Robert Anderson. He's a skilled agent and he's also very handsome. I assume it's a natural thing."
Jessica shook her head, not even daring to think of her father entering into a meaningless relationship with many such women. All this time Jessica hoped her father would date a grown woman. Note it! Just one.
"I see," he finally nodded his head at Nathan. "I wish you'd never answered."
"You did ask that."
"I know, I was wrong" Jessica replied grieving before she heard her phone ring again.
At first he thought it was his father as he searched his cell phone ringing in his bag. He took it out and checked the caller's name. But a second later his face turned pale when he saw whose name was plastered on the screen of his phone.
"Is that your mother?" guess Nathan.
"Yes." Yeah." Jessica replied while nodding her head slowly. "It's my mom."
"Then answer!" Nathan tried to persuade Jessica. "Sooner or later and inevitably, you're gonna have to talk to your mom, Jessica."
Jessica stared at her phone screen for some time before then she decided on her choice.
"I'll do it later" Jessica murmured, sliding the red button on her phone screen and putting it on the table. "If he wants to talk then he can just send me a voicemail."
Nathan nodded, but he couldn't force the girl to talk to his mother. Nathan finally chooses to discuss about the activities they will be doing after from this cafe when Jessica's mother calls again for the second time.
Nathan followed Jessica's eyes staring at the phone on the table. Nathan knew that the girl really wanted to answer him. And the only problem Jessica has is her stubbornness. Nathan swore he was afraid that his stubbornness would be a bad ending for the girl later.
And in the end, the phone stopped ringing, it was seen her mother left a voicemail and Jessica unlocked her phone. Jessica listened carefully and also seriously the contents of her mother's words in the voicemail. Nathan, who was in front of him, finished the last gulp for his drink and put the cup back on the table.
Nathan noticed Jessica's facial expression as he listened to the contents of the message. At first the girl started by rolling her lazy eyes before then she crossed one leg over the other and seemed to start listening to the contents of the message more seriously.
"What's wrong?" Nathan asked him. "You look a little shaken."
Jessica lifted her gaze, looking at Nathan.
"Mother and John, they're separated" Jessica replied stiffly.
"really?" Nathan frowned.
Jessica nodded.
"And my mother also said something about John" Jessica said, "John, she ransacked my entire house, even my room. He's razing the house. And I sound really shaken about all that."
"You should call her back, Jess!" nathan said to her. "Did your mother tell you why she broke up with John?"
Jessica shook her head. "Mom said that when I got home, I found John looking around for something in the drawer. Besides, John also said something about how he didn't get what he wanted, then he just left."
Nathan frowned at the information Jessica said. After a while, Nathan then stood up and immediately extended his hand to Jessica.
"Come on! We're going somewhere deserted and you can call your mother."
Jessica felt she didn't have to do that. Hey, he's still kind of pissed off at his mom right now. Jessica still seemed hesitant for a moment before then Nathan spoke a reasonable thing to her.
"Come on Jess, even after everything she's done, she's still your mother. She gave birth and took care of you. Yeah, well, at least you can meet him to calm the shock he's feeling."
After Nathan finished saying that, there was a long sigh of resignation coming from Jessica's mouth and in the end he grabbed Nathan's helping hand and tried to follow the young man's advice
