My Dad Turns Out to be Eyes

"Jessica"

Robert exclaimed in shock after hearing the screams from his daughter. Eyes rounded. His blood turned cold as he looked at the flames on Jessica's leg skin. The girl screamed so loudly that Robert turned frantic.

Robert pulled the jacket he was wearing and quickly wrapped it around Jessica's feet to put out the fire. Robert knew very well that his daughter would definitely suffer because of this. Robert brought Jessica to his knees on the floor, in order to see the condition of the girl's feet. And Robert could see clearly that Jessica's body was now shaking violently.

"OK, okay," Robert whispered to her. "Dad here, Jessie. I'm here."

"Dad," sobbed Jessica, "It's so sick..."

"Dad knows," Robert replied, not too sure what he should do at this moment. But one thing Robert knew right now was that he had to take Jessica to the hospital. Jessica needs attention and medical care. Robert knew that clearly.

"I know, Jessie. All this is gonna get better, I promise you. You're gonna be fine. I'll take you to the hospital soon, okay?"

"OK.okay." said Jessica in between her tears and Robert knew that she would be in shock after this.

Robert closed his eyes thinking about what would happen to his superior, Marie. At that time he only had one decision that he had to make that very second. Save Marie or her daughter. Robert knew very well that Marie's life was in danger, but his daughter was injured right now. Jessica is her main concern right now.

Robert pulled out his personal phone from his pocket while looking for Jessica's mobile number. He called the number and hoped that Nathan would answer.

And Robert was lucky enough that the young man picked up his phone.

"Nathan, I need you to do something for me!" robert on the phone.

"Sure, what is it?"

"I need an air ambulance to Kingdom. I need it right now. Jessica's hurt."

"What?" Nathan replied in shock. He then immediately typed something on the computer keyboard in front of him, trying to send a message in a few moments, only then he returned to talk.

"Robert, I've alerted our secret team that was there. They'll be coming by helicopter to help Jessica."

"What about Dimitri?"

"I've taken care of that too. They will also bring military assistance there. All help will come from land, water and air to catch up with Dimitri. Oh yes, I will also send an extra helicopter to catch up to Dimitri later as soon as the first helicopter takes Jessica. I think it's necessary."

"I haven't seen him yet" Robert replied as he held Jessica by his side.

"Wait a minute. They must be on their way now. My message was a little late because Dimitri had hacked into BIN computers and he kept pointing them to other locations every time I told them where to go, but I've taken care of it. Help is coming" Nathan replied at length. "Can I know what happened to Jessica?"

Robert glanced at Jessica for a moment between his arms.

"His feet are burning" said Robert, guilt continues to eat away at his heart over what has happened to his daughter.

Robert constantly blamed himself for this incident. He could not help but think that this was not his fault.

Thinking of all this, Robert chose to close his eyes. He then tried to further thrust his daughter into his arms. Robert then attached the jacket in his hand to Jessica's shoulder as the girl sobbed. Robert stroked Jessica's back between his arms.

"Help is coming" Robert told Jessica.

Jessica nodded. He himself had already done the best he could to ignore the pain he was feeling right now.

Robert looked back at the phone in his hand. He almost forgot that Nathan was still on the phone. He then spoke to Nathan.

"Good," said Robert. He picked up Jessica, carried the girl to take her out. Robert walked with staggered steps down the corridor. "And Marie? Can you trace her location? We parted before, I don't know where he is now."

"That's impossible" Nathan said. "Nobody can help me with that. Marie is the only mystery to me. Don't you know where he is? He didn't tell you anything before?"

"No! But I knew that Dimitri would definitely go after him. But I gave him the tracking device you gave me the other day" Robert said on his last step out of the house. He could now feel the fresh air coming down on his skin.

"Good, I'll try to find him from here through that tracker. Waita minute!" nathan said later.

Robert continued walking until he was quite far from the house, before he placed his daughter on the grass under the tree. Jessica sat upright leaning against the tree and Robert moved to check Jessica's pulse with a finger.

"You have to lie down" Robert told Jessica. "You're going to be in shock, Jessica."

Jessica nodded, her daughter took a deep breath and did as her father told her.

"What are you gonna do after this, Robert?" nathan said on the phone. "What about Marie?"

"She" said Robert paused his sentence. "There's my daughter here, Nathan. What am I supposed to do? Leave him here alone?"

"But Marie, she-"

"Go and find Marie, dad" Jessica told Robert.

Robert looked up and looked at the girl's eyes. He shook his head slowly, as if he refused. 

Jessica looked at Robert fixedly, then nodded her head steadily. "You have to stop Dimitri, dad."

"But you need me here" replied Robert.

"Marie needs you more now, Dad" Jessica said. "Just go..dad..do it! Leave now. You'll be back before the ambulance comes and takes me. I knew you'd come back."

"I'll keep in touch with him. I'll keep an eye on him from here."  Nathan said later. "I've been able to track him down. I found Marie's location."

"Where is he?" robert said, while his eyes continued to stare at Jessica.

"The tracker showed that he was in a motel about a kilometer from where you are today" Nathan said. "He's very close to you."

Robert looked back at Jessica.

"Just go!" Jessica snapped and Robert gave Jessica the phone, pressing Jessica's fingers tightly against it.

"Father will definitely come back for you, Jessie" Robert assured her. "You hold onto father's words. Wait, dad, it'll be back soon!"

"I know, dad" Jessica replied with a small smile and Robert now closed both eyes for a while.

Robert could feel his heavy chest as he got up and started chasing after Dimitri, leaving Jessica alone in that place.
