"Mother's gone? What does it mean to him to leave?" jessica asked with a surprised face.
Even Jessica's concern about Dimitri's earlier moment faded as soon as she heard the news her father had told her about her mother's passing.
A few minutes ago his father came to his ward and told him that his mother, along with her lover John, had booked a hotel room for where they were staying that night. Both men said they felt very tired and needed rest.
For Jessica, it was not a problem but what made Jessica feel a little upset was that her mother left without saying goodbye or any words to her.
Robert, who had been seen pacing back and forth near Jessica's bed, eventually chose to stop his activities. He looked at Jessica closely and could see the disappointed look on her face.
"Jessica, compared to that, is now more concerned with the reason why Dimitri could be here" Robert replied to his daughter.
Robert then glanced at Nathan. The young man was seen playing Jessica's iPhone. He has since tried to contact the main office with the object, considering it is the only source of technology that can be used to make calls.
Ever since then the young man had only been standing still in his slightly hidden place in a corner. It's nothing, at the moment Nathan is just trying his best to make sure that no one will be able to see his current position, even if it's a passing doctor or nurse.
"It's obvious that Dimitri must be trying to get his job done, Dad. It's stalking us! " Jessica said.
The girl then tried to shift the subject back to her mother. "Then, can you explain to me why you left? Didn't he say anything about me to Dad?"
Robert took a slow breath. "He said something."
"What did he say?"
"If you tell you about what your mother said, then you'd be as angry as you are" Robert tried to convince Jessica that he didn't have to repeat anything his mother told him about the girl.
Jessica looked into her father's brown eyes. His eyes widened on that sentence. And that made Jessica even more curious and wondering about what her mother told her father?
"What did he say?" jessica asked annoyed. "What bad words did he say? I don't need protection, Dad. I am twenty years old. I can even make my own decisions."
"He said the same thing that the man named John said." - Robert.
"John?"
Robert folded his hands to his chest, then he nodded "John, yes, the stranger just felt like he didn't like you much. Can we say it like that. And your mother, she didn't even do anything to defend you. Your mother just kept quiet when John kept vilifying you in front of me."
Jessica nodded, she understood now. Jessica smiled and just spoke again. "Mom must be really upset with me, too. That's why he didn't even defend me in the slightest when John was denouncing me."
"But why?"
"I was.I told him earlier that everything that happened was an accident..." Jessica said, at this time she intends to tell what happened to her father.
For Jessica at this time, the thought that she would go home with her mother alone has made her stomach feel heartburn. He doesn't want that. He really doesn't want that.
Hearing the story of his daughter made Robert's heart feel hot. Who would John have dared to insult his daughter like that? He was only the lover of his ex-wife. He had no right to insult his son.
"I don't. I mean, I don't know what the problem is that it makes them so mad at me. All I want is to go with you, Dad. And that's because I feel safer with you. But I don't agree."
"Yes, your mother has always been difficult to play" Robert commented. "Try not to worry about him or anything."
"And now he's gone?" jessica said as if she had not heard her father's advice. "He didn't even say goodbye to me. I mean, dad, I don't know what's wrong with me."
Robert could feel his daughter's unease. He moved to sit on the bed, right next to the girl. Robert then wrapped his arm around Jessica's shoulder, gently rubbing it with his hand.
"You didn't do anything, Jessica. You didn't do anything wrong. " Robert told his daughter. "Your mother is just too irritable. After this he will definitely calm down soon. I'm sure"
"really?" Jessica confirmed. He took a slow breath and smiled. "So far he still thinks I'm a little boy."
Smiling, Robert brushed the girl's hair behind her ear and then kissed the girl's head. "He's not the only one who thinks you are, Jess."
"Aah!" Nathan suddenly exclaimed, jumped and snapped his fingers. "We caught him. He's in this hospital. He was also seen outside the hospital building. But one thing is clear he's here."
"really?"
"Yes, I had Billy check the CCTV footage and he was seen posing as a cop. It looks like he does like to wear police clothes" Nathan said, giving him a cell phone with footage of Dimitri's movements as he entered the hospital. "And this one he disguised himself as a doctor."
"There is no question in doubt as to his skill in such disguises. He is a former spy." comments Robert. "Then did you send someone to go after him?"
"Someone?" nathan said, his eyebrows raised with confidence. "I've even sent all the members of our organization to go after him."
"Good," said Robert. "I'm going out to talk to a nurse or a doctor, see if Jessica can come back tomorrow. I want him detained in our organization's prison until I get to Indonesia."
Nathan cleared his throat for a second. "And can I ask you what you're going to do with him?" Nathan asked curiously. He knew very well that Robert was angry at this moment. His aura of anger even radiated from his face.
"What am I gonna do?" Robert asked back.
Nathan looked closely at Robert, waiting for an answer. "You-you"
"It looks like I'm going to kill him" Robert replied briefly. "And I'll actually do it."
"Wouldn't making him live in prison be much more satisfying?" Jessica wondered at her father.
"Trust me," said Robert, "death will feel much more satisfying."
