"They found her by the side of the road," Evelyn again explained the next morning to Jessica. The girl was still sitting on the chair beside Nathan's bed

The young man had spent most of his morning undergoing tests before a conclusion was reached. Some of his ribs were fractured and other injuries were confirmed to be healed in time.

"Hows it? Where is Dimitri?" ask Jessica to Evelyn.

"Your father's back and he says Dimitri's gone." Eve replied, her hand was seen playing on her phone. She held it in her hand, typing something ferociously as Jessica leaned her back on the back of the chair behind her.

"Nathan looks fine. Somehow he was just left out. Looks like Dimitri didn't really want to hurt Nathan."

"Yes, maybe." Jessica replied cynically as she stared at the wound on Nathan's face.

"Nathan says that Dimitri sent us a bomb, placed in the organization building. That's why Nathan wanted us to come here compared to living there last night" Jessica told Evelyn.

"I don't know what Dimitri's thinking. He's really gone crazy." Evelyn raised her hand to surrender.

"I agree." Jessica nodded.

"We tracked him down when he spoke with your father last night. But there's not much to find" Evelyn said.

Jessica nodded.

Nathan looked at the two women.

"He volunteered to do the job himself," Evelyn nodded harshly. "I walked into the office this morning and they were all very busy working. However, they had drunk the last remaining of your jasmine tea."

"Sial*n them," Nathan muttered softly, shaking his head back and forth as a small smile formed on Jessica's face.

"I have to get back to the office. Robert's coming to take you home soon, Jessica." Evelyn said.

"Thank you," said Jessica politely, forcing herself to smile at Evelyn.

The tall woman nodded and left the room, leaving Jessica alone with Nathan again. The young lady turned around on her seat and sighed deeply, her eyes returning to Nathan.

"You heard that," Nathan spoke. "Your father is safe and well."

"Everything seems so strange" Jessica shook her head. "He's going to bomb the train and kill you. I don't know why."

"I don't know why either? I'm not sure why Dimitri did this." Nathan replied. "I think he felt that if he managed to kill Robert, it would be considered an incredible achievement for himself. By killing the best agent in the country, he made an achievement. He would have wanted to show people that no one can get him, if the best like your father alone can't. At the same time, I think Dimitri enjoyed the game of cat and mouse."

"Why?" Jessica wondered.

"Some people do," Nathan replied as he clamped his chin with a finger. "Those people would be happy if they managed to play a chase with a secret agent. I'm not pretending to understand the workings and minds of criminals, but that's how it is."

"Oh no, that means, my dad is going to fight those crazy people" Jessica said back to him. He leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes and pressed his finger against the base of his nose. Nathan now just kept quiet and watched her closely.
