That morning Robert traveled through very busy urban traffic. He was grateful to be able to leave early and avoid the usual city congestion.
He did not go to the airport because he remembered that before leaving he needed to visit someone. Yes, this morning he's going to the office of the Ministry where Nathan Jones works. Nathan is a young man he met in the gallery some time ago.
He needed to meet the young man, considering he did not know where to go to get his passport. And in addition, Robert also had to meet him because he needed to complain about the weapons Nathan gave him secretly in the museum yesterday.
"Mrs. Robert," Nathan exclaimed as soon as he turned his chair and found Robert standing in the doorway. He closed the document he was reading while his eyes were still staring at Robert who was currently walking into his study.
Nathan was sitting behind a desk in his study. He was just about to start doing his work a moment ago, before then someone suddenly appeared after opening the door of his room without saying excuse.
After Robert's sudden arrival to his study, Nathan now puts the documents in his hand on the table.
"I don't think anyone knows how to pronounce the right words of excuse" Nathan said.
Robert shook his shoulders, indifferently. "I've never used it this long."
Nathan moved his right hand over the mouse, focusing on his computer. While Robert chose to stand upright, with his back leaning against the wall that was near the door and his two eyes stared flat at the young man in front of him.
"I'm sure your arrival early in the morning here is to pick up your passport" Nathan began to speak in a polite tone. "Yes, I should have really given you all the equipment at the museum back then, but as you know, if our conversation had to be cut short because of your daughter's arrival."
"For me the time we had yesterday was almost enough. And not wasting any time or opportunity" replied Robert, his lips tightly closed as his eyes looked around him.
Robert took out the gun he had been carrying from his pocket and showed it to Nathan. Only then did Robert put the object on the table, right in front of Nathan.
"Is something wrong?" Nathan asked curiously while raising his brow next to his puzzled. He handed Robert his passport and took the gun. "All I have to do is shoot something. Isn't this not at all difficult for you?"
Robert raised the corner of his lips, smiling sinisterly at Nathan. Then he shook his shoulder. "Yes, you're right. I just need to shoot something. And I tried to do it last night" Robert said with a flat expression on his face.
"Then?"
"I can use it, Nathan! I guarantee that. But there seems to be something wrong with that thing."
Nathan looked at the thing in his hand then shook his head slowly. A small smile at the corner of his mouth appeared as he placed the weapon on the table.
"I think the cause is because someone forgot to 'activate', '" Nathan replied as he continued to observe the object on his desk. "It looks like this should be activated first."
Hearing the explanation from the young man before him, Robert could only raise his brow next to him in confusion.
"Someone?" Robert was curious.
The current Robert continued to look at Nathan with doubtful gazes. Speaking of doubts, to be honest since their first meeting at the museum yesterday, Robert had already doubted the ability of this young man before him. Just look, he seems too young to be a leader in this division. It really looks like an amateur kid who just graduated from a University.
"Yes, someone. But not me" Nathan explained casually. "I can feel curiosity just from that expression of yours, Mr. Robert."
"Hmm yes, I can indeed help you to activate it" Nathan replied. He then continued his sentence while starting to fiddle with the weapon. "But why did you try to shoot this thing last night? Your neighbors will hear it later. And I also hope that you don't make your daughter die of shock."
"No, just calm down. I tried it while Jessica was sleeping. I aimed the gun at the wall of my house. And it's also impossible to wake up a neighbor next to my house because I'm using a damper" Robert explained. "Yes, I just have to try it because I need to see and check how good the quality of the thing is. I don't want to be given junk."
"Ck, the word junkyard sounds very rude, Mr. Robert Anderson." said Nathan cynically.
"Yes! And it wouldn't hurt if I checked the gun first. And look at this! Isn't the stuff very good. Because as we see now, it can't even be used." said Robert, glancing at the weapon in Nathan's hand.
"I guess so," Nathan replied handing the weapon back to Robert after a while of fiddling with the inside of the weapon. "I fixed it. The boss had taught me before, so it was easy to activate it. You can use it again now."
Robert took the object out of Nathan's hand and focused on looking at it. "Good then."
"There's an insider working for us at the airport checkpoint who will help get you out with a gun later" Nathan said in response.
"Ah, and also. I will make sure that you can get another additional weapon later." Nathan said again looking at Robert who was still focused on seeing the weapon in his hand.
Robert sighed lazily. "Yes, make sure of that!"
"By the way, your daughter doesn't seem to enjoy looking at the variety of paintings." Nathan changed the subject.
Robert looked a little astonished as Nathan discussed his daughter.
"He has the same taste as me when it comes to judging paintings and the meanings hidden within them. We don't like to observe things that waste time like that." - Robert.
"It's not a waste of time, but you're just getting bored too soon." Nathan quipped.
"Yes, if only our leader had told me to meet somewhere a little more interesting than that, it would have been much more pleasant" Robert replied to him.
"It's an interesting place for me. And to be honest, I was the one who suggested to the chairman that we meet there" Nathan said, sounding a little unacceptable.
"Yes, that suits you. Equally boring." said Robert made Nathan look at him unacceptable.
"What?" nathan was upset.
"I just worked with him because the boss asked. The boss often said that his words were harsh. But I didn't know he was such a bitch... Nathan looked at Robert cynically.
Robert was silent, not seeming to care much about the young man's grunts. He then looked seriously at the young man before him.
"But I seem to need your help a little" Robert said in a slightly whispered tone.
"Help?"
