"That's it.." said someone from one of the workers in the room in a soft tone, although it could still be heard clearly in the ears of everyone including Jessica herself.
Jessica is now seen back inside the room where she and Nathan have been together since last night. Jessica could see some of the people were staring at her, she was astonished but decided not to be too dizzy.
He then walked down the stairs just as Nathan turned and turned to him because the young man had already unintentionally heard the whispering voices of his subordinates.
Nathan's eyes did not blink when he saw the girl was already nearby. I don't know why with him. In the next instant, Nathan shook his head, realising himself from daydreams.
"You've come here again" Nathan said with a smiley lip.
"Yes, my father told me to come back here, with you." Jessica whispered to the young man, trying so that no one else could hear his words.
"Where is he now?" nathan asked her in a slow tone. "I mean, your father!"
"Yes, he told me that he was going somewhere else to intrograte Dimitri." Jessica said, not so sure.
"So it seems." Nathan nodded his head in understanding.
Jessica then approached Nathan.
"My dad also texted me and asked that you bring his laptop after this,"
"All right." Nathan nodded while his eyes were still focused on Dimitri's laptop.
Jessica who was silent made Nathan also chose to be quiet and just focus on his computer. In the next instant, Nathan realized that awkwardness was brewing between them now and decided to reopen the conversation.
"So how are you feeling now? You've met your father, haven't you, so you must be very relieved right?" guess Nathan.
"A little better, I guess," Jessica replied shrugging her shoulders casually. "I mean, everything just still feels kind of weird to me. This atmosphere.. these people…"
"I don't think that strange feeling will last long. You're gonna get used to all this. Especially after knowing who your father really is. I think you should control your emotions."
"Yes, I think so too."
Nathan then continued. "I'm also sure that you can't kill your own father for lying to you for years." Nathan sneered.
"Do you think I have a chance to do that to my father in such a precarious situation?" Jessica smiled slightly then shook her head.
Nathan smiled back and focused on looking at Dimitri's laptop in front of him. He seemed to be breathing slowly and then grieving. This laptop is starting to make him feel a bit upset right now.
As a former agent. Dimitri is certainly a smart man. Very clever, though. Nathan can't argue with that. It was proven that he was able to hide some secret systems in his laptop.
He flicked his activities, one of his hands was clucking at the waist while the other hand was holding his own chin.
'He's pretty smart about this. He managed to hide the documents. Everything is well protected. But he's not as smart as I am. I'll figure out a way to open it.' Nathan's mind then refocused on his work.
In between his work Nathan then glanced at his subordinates, after which he turned to Jessica.
Jessica raised her eyebrows. "Something?"
"Yes, I think, it seems, almost everyone in this division already knows who you are" Nathan said casually.
Jessica frowned. "What?"
"Well, right now I'm just trying to tell you before you know it for yourself." Nathan shook his shoulder.
"Huh? How's that supposed?" Jessica said she did not understand with a wondering expression. He did not even look back, he felt ashamed at the people behind him who had somehow kept staring at him since.
"Yes, you see, so Gerry has used his amateur skills to hack the CCTV in the corridor. And that's exactly when you and your father met a while ago. He then sent a link to everyone, making the people in this room see your 'full of haru' scene." Nathan said at length without looking at Jessica.
Jessica looked at Nathan confused, "Gerry?"
"Yes Gerry! Maybe Gerry thought he could get away with his disrespect" Nathan said, staring flatly at a young man sitting not far from him. That's Gerry.
The man, named Gerry, chose to sink his head into his desk while pretending to type on his keyboard in a hurry.
The other worker who heard that could only smile at Gerry who was currently seen in the fog because he heard the nagging from Nathan.
"Him?" Jessica said confused while looking at Gerry.
"Yes, that's it." Nathan nodded his head, assenting. "And I can tell you that after this he'll definitely be put in and on duty to clean the trash cans for a week by Marie, because of that."
"The real garbage duty?" Jessica asked as she recalled her father's nickname to Nathan a moment ago.
"Task for a computer genius who does 'rogue' in this division, more precisely." Nathan tried to tell Jessica. "I want to explain it. but ..."
"I won't understand" Jessica replied, looking at Nathan with a wry smile. He then shook his hand. "But it's okay, after all it might be better if I don't understand."
"By the way," Nathan cleared his throat for a moment, trying to reduce the awkwardness between the two of them. "Do you want to sit down? Because yes, I want to continue this work."
Nathan pointed to the laptop he was working on in front of him. Jessica turned her head and immediately understood that the young man must be rather busy right now.
"Oh," Jessica then nodded. "I'm fine. You just continue with your work."
Jessica then rests her hips on Nathan's desk. For a while he just kept silent, observing the work of the young man. Looking at his eyes, he turned to Nathan's cup on the table before he finally saw the big screen in front of him.
In between his composure, suddenly appeared in Jessica's head about who the figure of Dimitri was. And Jessica wondered what the man was doing on his laptop to make everyone look so scared and alert.
Is Dimitri really that dangerous?
