"So will we be safe after this?"
Robert nodded in agreement, "father can call it that."
"We're gonna be safer than the organization building?" ask Jessica again, make sure. Jessica remembers the organization building she took refuge in earlier, which her father called safe for her, but in fact?
Robert was silent for a while.
"Dad will work on it." replied Robert soberly.
Jessica rolled her eyes. So they wouldn't be safer than that organization building? So why did his father even take him all the way to Yogyakarta like this.
Robert and Jessica are on a train heading to their destination. Jessica curled up in the chair while leaning against her father's arm.
"Dad will also work wherever you are. So why did you choose Yogya as a shelter."
Robert could only sigh when he saw his daughter's behavior.
"I'm not supposed to tell you," Robert muttered to her. "so far I've got Nathan who can track us. He'll make sure we're safe. Also, there are already several BIN agents in Yogya."
Jessica's eyebrows wrinkled. He seemed to be thinking for a few moments. He closed the magazine in front of him and looked at his father. His eyeballs seemed to widen as he looked at the father.
"So, what is this?" he checked it and he nodded.
"Take it as a double protection for you" Robert said. "Regina has sworn to me to keep the matter confidential. So I can't tell you much, you just follow."
"But I'm your daughter" Jessica reminded him as she sipped her drink. Jessica straightened her position and crossed one foot over the other. "Didn't I have a right to know?"
"I don't want to make you feel anxious and worried, Jessica," replied Robert, his voice low and in control.
Jessica shook her head and closed her eyes, her hands resting on her forehead, twitching her softly.
Robert said nothing after that. He chose to remain silent and did not respond to the nagging of his daughter.
"You need to stop hiding things from me, dad." pressed Jessica to him. "I am twenty years old, Father. I mean, I'm not a kid anymore."
Robert rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, a hint of embarrassment approaching him when he heard his daughter speak. Jessica was still staring at him as Robert's hand pulled his somewhat shabby suit and tidied it up on his body.
"Can you agree with me on that?" Jessica confirmed. "I understand that you don't want to worry me. And I don't want to worry either, trust me on that. But ... If I have to worry then it's okay. It's better than you hiding something from me, dad."
"I see," Robert assured her, not too sure how much scolding he could receive from her daughter. She nodded at Jessica and leaned her back on her chair. Robert brushed his fingers into Jessica's hair before he heard a familiar voice coming from his son's bag.
"Maybe it's your mother" Robert told her.
"I hope so," he murmured, grabbed the iPhone and looked at the caller. He did not recognize the number because it appeared as an unknown number. He looked at his father, reached out to him and Robert nodded.
"Unknown number" commented Robert. "Your phone is the only phone we have right now."
"Where's dad's phone?" Jessica wondered, still staring at the screen of her phone.
"Destroyed," said Robert. "But who is this? The only person who can call you is Nathan."
"Or maybe 'he', '" Jessica commented as well.
"Or Dimitri," Robert nodded his head. "You won't know until you pick it up."
Jessica sighed as she sensed the carriage was still moving. He looked out the window as he swiped the green button on his phone screen to receive the call. He put the phone to his ear.
"Jessica, thank goodness."
"Nathan?"
