Robert looked around for the keys in his pocket and opened the door and went inside. The sight he saw next was enough to make his forehead shrivel in confusion.
He could hear laughter coming from the kitchen since he stepped into his house. He stepped into the source of the sound and could see clearly from where he stood Jessica who was in the kitchen.
The girl was wearing a flour-covered apron and her hand was holding a cookie tin with oven mitt in her hand. While Nathan was standing beside him, his face covered with flour, his glasses were also misty with powdery dust.
"And what just happened here?" Robert wondered as he stepped into the kitchen.
He was now standing near the dining table after previously putting the house keys on the table. Hearing that voice Jessica turned to look at her father.
"Well... Nathan just spilled flour" Jessica commented.
"I.well.did drop it on the desk. But just calm down. I've managed to clean most of his shit" Nathan commented as he wiped his glasses with his sleeves.
Robert furrowed his brows and his lips lifted into a faint grin. "Dad's good to see you having fun."
"Mm yeah," Jessica nodded her head in agreement. He is in full concentration now to peel the cake from the can where the cake was.
Nathan checks the watch on his wrist before learning that he has to go home. He doesn't want to be late for home.
"It seems like I should go," Nathan said as he looked at Jessica.
Jessica nodded at him and he finally managed to take the cake out of his container.
"Should we meet tomorrow?" Jessica asked and Nathan nodded at her. He glanced at Mr. Robert. Yes, he did not want to cross the 'line of intimacy' on the girl when the agent who had been assigned to kill him stood less than three meters away from her.
"I think we can watch a movie tomorrow night" Nathan told him. "Yes, if you want,"
"Of course," Jessica said and she placed her hand on Nathan's shoulder. "We'll watch together tomorrow."
Robert who had since noticed only coughed awkwardly and Nathan instinctively stepped back. He nodded then quickly turned around to pick up his jacket.
Robert who noticed Nathan's nervousness just looked at him with an amused smile. He knows that Nathan was scared to death when Robert saw him with Jessica.
Yes, it should.
Robert nodded at Nathan then took the keys to his house again. "I'll take you out, Nathan."
"Why?" Jessica immediately wondered with a confused look. "Isn't that my job?"
"You were relieved of your duty for one night" replied Robert in a cynical voice.
Jessica looked at her father and then looked at Nathan. Nathan glanced back at him and shrugged his shoulders. He had no idea what Robert wanted from him at this moment.
Jessica said nothing as she saw Nathan and her father leave the house, the front door slammed as they left.

Robert was the first to walk down the stairs. He turned his head, looking at Nathan with furrowed brows. The young man seemed to be constantly staring back, looking towards the inside of Robert's house, worry clearly visible on his face.
"What's that about?" Nathan finally wondered. "Does this have anything to do with John?"
"No" answered Robert. "It has nothing to do with John. Although I want nothing but to get away from that si*lan guy."
"Then what's so bothering you right now that you need to talk to me?" Nathan asked curiously and it made Robert flick his steps on the stairs.
Nathan looked at Robert's face, trying his best to understand Robert's expression. Robert seemed to be worried about something. Ah no. But he looks depressed about something. Nathan had never seen such a sight from Robert before.
"What's wrong?" Nathan wonders.
"How did you do it?" Robert suddenly asked her.
Nathan raised next to his brow confused, "What am I doing?"
"Jessica! I haven't even seen him smile for days. I haven't heard him laugh in a long time. I wonder if he will be happy again. I took her away on vacation and nothing seemed to make her really happy there. And today I went home and found you who'd only been here for four hours and she laughed as if she didn't have any problems."
Nathan listens attentively as Robert explains his concerns about his daughter. Nathan didn't know if he could calm the man down. Yeah, Nathan doubts he can, but he'll give it a shot. Nathan cleared his throat and lowered his head looking towards the ground. He closed his eyes and thought.
"I think the way is by not trying too hard" Nathan replied to Robert. "You're trying too hard to make her happy. It doesn't matter because you're his father and you always want to make him happy. But.well.it is not right to be so pushy in that way. My point is 'No need to do extravagant things to make him forget', maybe it is..."
Robert sighed and shook his head. Realizing when Nathan knows his daughter better than he does, makes Robert feel scared. Robert stuffed his hand into his pants pocket and looked at the end of the street, his eyes narrowed as he watched the blond head move near the pole at the end of the road. He learns that his imagination is starting to come out and he is like seeing someone he knows. Shaking his head, he looked back at Nathan focusing on their current topic of conversation.
"You're the father" Nathan shrugged. "I'm sure he must be worried about you, too. Yeah, that's your way of making him happy. I doubt you did anything wrong to her."
"Didn't I do it the wrong way?" Robert wondered, his attention was now completely turned to Nathan. "Sometimes I think I'm actually doing everything the wrong way."
"You just need to meet him and talk to him" Nathan advises "Ah. Looks like he'll prefer that method."
Robert's lips instantly pulled upwards again at the passage, he smiled. And Nathan shook his head and looked at the already very quiet area.
"I'd better go now, it's too late" Nathan told him. "Please say good night to Jessica for me."
"You said good night."
"Alright, say it again," Nathan replied, "or I'll make sure the next weapon I give you won't shoot as well as it should."
Robert chuckled as Nathan began to leave the young man behind. He rushed back inside to meet his son.
