Jessica was sitting in the back of the taxi. His breathing was still hunting after he tried to escape from Nathan who was constantly yelling at him. He only closed his eyes as the taxi driver asked him where he wanted to go.
Come on. He doesn't even know his purpose.
"I don't know my destination yet, uncle." Jessica replied staring out the window, looking around.
"Did you not have all day, miss?" the taxi driver asked Jessica and Jessica nodded her head at him.
Jessica took a moment to look at her phone before the screen lit up, showing a new message. Jessica opened the message and read that 'that person' was sending her an address. A street name and also a house number.
"We go to Antasari Street, uncle," Jessica exclaimed to the taxi driver.
The driver nodded his head, while Jessica leaned on the back of the cab seat. He turned his gaze out of the taxi window, staring at the crowded street as he felt his mobile phone vibrate.
It was a phone call, from Nathan.
Jessica swiped the red button on her phone screen. He did not even intend to reply to some messages from the young man.
Jessica sighed and could feel her throat choking at the thought of the injured expression on Nathan's face. The hurt expression Nathan showed when he found out that Jessica kissed him just to get away with him.
Doesn't that mean Jessica tricked him? Can Jessica call herself betraying Nathan's love? Using the love of that young man? Now Jessica can only hope that Nathan will understand why she did it.
About twenty minutes later, Jessica's phone lit up again. A phone call came back in and this time his father called. Jessica lowered her head and pressed the red button again. He refused a phone call from his father.
And that very second tears fell on her cheeks. Jessica had no idea how many more pitiful things she could experience after this. He just had to save his mother. He will do this and he is sure everything will be fine. Everything will be back as before. Jessica doubted it.
He constantly ignores the efforts of his father and Nathan to call him. He knew that they would definitely try to persuade him to return to the headquarters of the organization and ask him to go home, canceling whatever plan he would try to do.
Not what, Jessica was only afraid that they managed to persuade her to get out of this problem and not follow the orders of the criminal. Jessica was scared, of course. He would feel stupid for not doing it. His mother needs him, that's why he can't come back. He had to save his mother at all costs.
"This is it, we've arrived" the driver told Jessica after the taxi stopped. "It's Antasari street."
Jessica stared out of the taxi window for a while. He then reached into his bag and handed over the payment to the taxi driver.
"Thank you" replied the driver.
Jessica walked over to the house number on her phone. After arriving, he stared fixedly at the house in front of him. It's a simple house.
Jessica moved forward and pushed the gate. He stepped over while looking around the house. Jessica moved her legs slowly, walking down the path.
While stepping Jessica looked at the house again. The clean window curtain blocked Jessica's view to look inside, but the window panes were clean and even the paved driveway was also clear of weeds. At first Jessica thought she would be asked to come to an old house or barn. Did he get the right address?
As he pulled out his phone again, he saw a message just coming in.
'The key is under the statue. Enter itself...'
With trembling hands Jessica immediately put her phone in her bag before then Jessica circulated her gaze and saw a frog statue near the door. He leaned over and found the key in question. That's when he looked back. Jessica wondered if anyone would notice her presence here.
He prayed in his heart, hoping that someone else would see him..
Slowly, Jessica stood straight back up and stared at the lock hesitantly. He knew he had no choice but to go inside. Her mother's inside. Her mother was alone there.
The thought made Jessica move on. He put the key in and turned it around. The next second a 'click' sound was heard'.
Jessica closed her eyes and put her hand on the doorknob. He pushed her down, leaving the door open. Jessica looked around and she could see inside the house, but she saw nothing in her sight.
Jessica set her foot again entering the door, passing through the doorway and looking up at the wooden staircase on her left.
The house is empty. There's nothing in there. He left the door behind him open as he stepped foot, walked down the corridor and headed to the kitchen. He pushed the kitchen door open. And as soon as the door opened Jessica could feel her heart pounding when she saw a man standing behind her.
"How good are you to come, Jessica. I just cooked some water." said the man.
