An annoyed helaan came out of Jessica's mouth as she finished hearing the conversation. He stared intently at the door where Marie had just walked out.

"Am I not even allowed to speak for my own purposes?" jessica said to Nathan in a loud tone. He's a little upset right now.

Meanwhile Nathan just looked at him with an indescribable look.

"What if I don't want to stay here all night? Why doesn't anyone ask me what I think?" continued Jessica.

"Yes, I think for the time being you don't even have a choice but to comply," said Nathan who could only shake his shoulder at the girl in response. "You're also in and involved in the current mess."

"Then can I tell you who did that to my Macbook? Is that really from someone?" jessica asked the young man.

"I'm not entirely sure about that. I don't know who did that, but it looks like I can tell you that we're going to find out what the real cause of all this is" Nathan replied.

"Yes ampub" the girl complained.

Nathan then pulls out a chair from one of the office desks nearby. He then walked to the other table and took another chair from there. He pulled the two chairs and placed them right near his desk.

Nathan gave one of them to Jessica.

"This is a chair for you. Sit first! For now it would be better if you just sit down first, try to calm yourself." Nathan said then he chose to sit in that chair and continue his work again.

"What are you gonna do?" ask Jessica.

Nathan pointed at the computer with his chin. "I'll try my best to figure out how this threat message got into your Macbook."

Jessica then nodded and chose to do what Nathan told her just now. He pulled out the seat Nathan gave him a moment ago and positioned it right next to Nathan then placed himself on it.

Secretly Jessica looked at the young man in front of her.

"Is that true?" Jessica asked Nathan. This time Jessica did her best to hold herself back, trying to sound calmer than her previous self.

"What's right?"

"Everything.. I mean .. is it true that my father was a spy agency working for the government?"

"Yes, we can call it that," Nathan nodded his head, trying to reassure Jessica.

Nathan then flicked his hands on his computer keyboard and turned his body to face the young girl.

"Now try to tell me because I'm curious. Have you never even been suspicious about your father's work?"

"Why should I be suspicious of that? I don't even have a reason for that?" jessica asked in protest.  "I mean. he's my father, so I..."

"But still. In any case, this all made me feel very surprised and also feel so devastated. Yeah, I don't expect him to always be honest with me about a lot of things. But... becoming a spy? Seriously? It even felt a bit unreal to me. It's only in my childhood dramas and spectacles."

"You think so?" Nathan smiled wryly, he almost laughed hearing that.

"I've always thought it was only in drama."

"Yes, I can tell if they do exist, Jessica" Nathan reassured Jessica with a small smile on her face.

"Yes, if there were, but you certainly wouldn't think that your own father was the spy" Jessica said.

"Imagine, if all of a sudden a killer suddenly comes to you firing something at you with the ultimate goal being to find your father who turns out to be a spy? It's like a scene in a movie, isn't it?" jessica continued, shaking her head.

"Yes, you're right" Nathan replied in agreement. He then turned his body back towards his computer and pressed the keyboard in front of him with his fast finger. "However, I must admit that he did years of deception to you pretty well. He managed to trick you. Look, you haven't even noticed this whole time."

"Yes, it's because I'm not here. I wasn't here to find him when he tried to trick me. I live in Singapore, if you don't know." Jessica replied sharply to Nathan's words and a cynical smile appeared and adorned Nathan's face.

"Totally so." Nathan nodded indifferently.

"I don't know what to think about all this right now. And about the people who tried to kill me just now.it really surprised me and scared me too..."

"We'll soon find out who has bravely done this to you..." Nathan promised Jessica. "... But your Macbook didn't even give me much help. I'm kind of in trouble because the system keeps changing the IP address, and-

"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about right now," Jessica quickly interrupted. Yeah, he understood what Nathan said just now. That is not his field of education at all.

Ah, right too. He couldn't possibly know what I meant. Inner Nathan.

"Yes, briefly. Whoever did this, he didn't even leave a trail of bread ramming to take me to him," Nathan tried to tell Jessica, this time with a simpler-sounding sentence.

"That's what it looks like." Jessica nodded in understanding.

Nathan sighed softly, then turned off Jessica's Macbook. "It kind of sucks." Nathan grumbled.

"So is there nothing you can do?" Jessica asked.

"Oh, there's actually a lot I can do" Nathan told him. "This is my specialty. And I'm not hired to work here to give up easily."

Jessica smiled slightly as she looked at Nathan. "Good!" he told the young man.

Nathan smiled back and went back to work on his computer. The state of silence because Nathan is busy with his work while Jessica just silently pays attention to the young man's work.
