"You let him go!"
Robert's anger was enough to make Nathan flinch in his place. Right now he is standing in front of his computer, doing his best to track down Jessica, but it seems that others have the same idea. One time when he was shown to be in Australia, and the next he was in Malaysia. Someone doesn't want Jessica to be found.
At the moment Nathan is doing his best for himself and not allowing his anger to overwhelm him. He had no idea how much more his brain could receive from all this madness.
This is all his fault. He should have stopped Jessica. She should have caught him and hugged him, keeping his defense as he begged or even hit him. He shouldn't have let her go by kissing her.
Nathan feels so stupid.
"I didn't mean to!" Nathan snapped, his voice agitated. "Your daughter has a mind of her own, Robert. We can't doubt that. He's the one who fooled and ran away. It has nothing to do with me. I'm not letting him go. I even told him to go back inside."
"You should have tried harder!" Robert growled, "What can you do now?"
"I did my best to find him" Nathan promised him. "But I've been fighting someone who has abilities as good as mine. They also kept an eye on its location and even continued to change its location. They've hacked the tracking device I put on Jessica's phone. One second Jessica was in Qatar and the next she was in Russia."
Robert rolled his eyes and gritted his teeth.
Nathan could feel Robert's anger and he knew his co-worker was upset as well. Robert's father, he must be pissed off more than Nathan.
Right now they are all working as hard as they can to change the code that has been stolen, as well as trying to find Jessica.
Nathan secretly remembers the last time he saw Jessica's running back leaving him. She had witnessed Jessica disappear and she could do nothing about it. He felt useless.
"I'll find him" Robert said.
"With what?" wonder Nathan. "We don't know where he is at the moment. If you're going around this town, it won't help bringing her back either."
"And do you think if I stood in front of your computer desk would help bring him back?" Robert answered. His tone was sharp and seemed to warn Nathan to keep his mouth shut.
Nathan took a breath and nodded. He knew Robert could do nothing here. Robert wasn't skilled enough to help track her down Jessica.
That's Nathan's job.
"Yes" said Robert.
"We'll find Jessica again" Nathan tells Robert, doing his best to keep the man optimistic.
