"What?" Nathan was shocked.

"My mom's in danger, Nathan!" Jessica tried to explain.

"But how is bi-"

"Look! We have to go to a quieter place!"

Jessica then pulls Nathan's arm and takes the young man to a quieter alley.

"Someone just sent me a message with a picture of my mother. They tied him to a chair and they wanted me to come. So I have to go see him. By ourselves. And they said they'd kill him if I didn't, Nathan. You have to listen to me."

Flashing in confusion for a few seconds, Nathan shook his head quickly.

"But Jessica"

"Nathan, listen up!" Jessica cut Nathan's words. "Can I trust you?"

Nathan then nodded his head. She could now feel her mouth drying out when she heard Jessica say to her just now. Jessica was holding both hands, the grip of the girl even felt tight.

"I trust you" Jessica said earnestly.

"You know I did anything for you, Jessica, but I can't let you go. And I will find your mother. I can find him."

"They'll find out, Nathan Jessica replied as she shook her head. He looked around when the fear returned to him. "Listen to me! If you do that, they'll find out, Nathan. You can't do anything. You just keep track of me, okay! And I'll have my phone."

"Are you bod*h?" hiss Nathan, from the tone of voice heard that he felt annoyed. This is not anger but anger. Nathan was now looking at Jessica with widened eyes, Nathan could feel a kind of wound in his heart. How could Jessica ask him to let her go. Nathan would've gone crazy if he'd allowed that.

"Do you really think that I'm gonna let you go, Jessica? It's the same as letting you die!" Nathan shook his head, "

"But my mother"

"I know you're very worried about him. Yeah, of course you're worried about him. You are his daughter." Nathan said in a raised tone of voice. "But escape? Are you kidding me, Jessica? You know, running away like this won't help at all. Believe that! You should stay with us at the organization building. You need to stay somewhere safe."

"No," Jessica replied, shaking her head. "You have to understand me, Nathan. Please. I have to go...Nathan, I have to see my mom."

"No," Nathan challenged her as Jessica was about to step away from him. Nathan continued to wrap his handrails around Jessica's wrist "No. I know you must have been hurt by my choice to not cooperate with you. To be honest with Jessica, I have to tell you that this is definitely not the answer. Listen to me. Believe me this isn't the best way to save your mother."

"I know!" jessica replied insisting. "But I've seen what he sent me. My mother was tortured there. I have to go, Nathan. And tell my dad that-"

"If what? If you choose to go to the villain's place to save your mother? That you're gonna get yourself killed in there? Didn't he? You're asking me to tell your father that you're going to a place where you can destroy yourself?" Nathan said with a smile. " Then after that what? I'll let him shoot me because I've kindly let you go? Your father will be disappointed in me later on Jessica."

"You said we're out for a breath of fresh air, but what is this!"

"I know I lied to take you out of Nathan!"

Nathan breathed tired. "You should have told me about all this in there, Jessica. And we'll find your mother together. Hear you? You can tell me. But now here we are. arguing in a lonely alley like a pair of lunatics."

"We won't argue any longer." Jessica said to Jessica, her voice sounded low again. He wants to leave now and he has to leave now. There's no time to argue with Nathan. "Listen I'm sorry, to you, Nathan. But I really have to do this."

Jessica tried to get herself out of Nathan's grip. But Nathan manages to grab her other wrist and pulls Jessica back on him.

"Jessica listen to me"

"Nathan off!"

"No!" Nathan shook his head as he tightened his hand.

Jessica knew that Nathan wasn't as weak as he seemed. Nathan was even slightly stronger than Jessica had imagined before. Jessica breathed a rough sigh. It seemed like there was no other choice, finally in a hurry Jessica then moved closer to Nathan and pressed her lips to the young man's lips. Jessica knew that it would definitely confuse the young man later on.

Jessica manages to deepen her kiss on Nathan. When getting a sudden kiss like that obviously made Nathan so surprised. And Jessica could feel Nathan's grip on her hand finally loosening.

To be honest, Jessica wanted to stay there longer, keeping her mouth shut to keep kissing Nathan. And then, Nathan takes over their kiss and slowly the kiss turns into a kiss.

'I'm sorry Nathan!' jessica closed her eyes and her face looked resigned. And the next second Jessica's eyeballs opened as then she slowly pulled her lips from Nathan's lips then immediately turned around and ran, fleeing from Nathan.

"Jessica!" exclaim Nathan.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Jessica muttered in her steps.

He did not stop and continued to run even when he heard the man calling him back, asking him to stop. He came out of the quiet narrow alley and ended up on the sidewalk and met a lot of people and passed by. Jessica pushed people as she passed them, she did not even bother apologizing as she did that.

While Nathan can only be glued to his place. He could see the back of Jessica who was away leaving him. Nathan could see the girl's intentions from every step, the girl didn't even care if she still had bandages around her feet.

"Jessica!" Nathan shouted his name once more. "Jessica!!"

It was all over when the girl turned the corner of the alley and saw that the girl had completely disappeared. Nathan grabbed his own hair, his breathing creaked quickly, he was really upset. It was clearly his fault for making the girl leave.

Nathan tried to catch his roaring breath, he was completely self-absorbed. He hit the wall of the alley while closing his eyes. He continues to curse himself for failing to hold Jessica and even letting her go.
