"We've only known each other for a week" Nathan tries to remind him. "How can I judge whether I'm interested or not? I mean .. You're a good girl, Jessica. I'm just worried about what will happen in the future. I work in Indonesia. And you studied in Singapore. You're also very young. There are a lot of other men out there. And most of them"

"No, it's okay. I see what you mean." said Jessica.

"Do you really understand?"

"Yes" said Jessica. "I'm just. You're very nice, Nathan. You even like Sinetron."

"Not all the time" Nathan interrupted, retyping as he spoke. "We have to get through this bad thing first, Jessica. Only then can you and your heart really decide what you're going to do. Right now keeping you alive is a top priority for me. For your father too."

"I see," Jessica bluntly nodded, sipping her tea. "And I'll be fine if that kiss doesn't mean anything to you. You know that, right?"

"No," Nathan hurriedly shook his head. "Not many girls can kiss me, Jessica. That one means more than the other girl."

Jessica remained silent. He silently smiled as he sipped the tea in his hand. While Nathan, he could feel his cheeks starting to heat up hearing his own words, but he chose to continue paying attention to his screen. She also knew that Jessica was nervous. Now the girl sat on the edge of her chair and constantly looked at the door, waiting for her father to knock.

Jessica rolled her eyes across the room, until she finally saw the gun at the end of the dining table. His mouth was slightly open looking at that. And Nathan noticed Jessica slightly moving from her seat to grab it. He took it with his hand and looked at it, knowing full well that it was quite dangerous. Extremely dangerous.

"Be careful with that thing" Nathan told him. "Your father left it for me in case there was an emergency."

Jessica was silent. He continued to observe the object, turning it around in his hand while Nathan chose to sigh.

"Any, right?" jessica was still staring at the gun. He stretched it out and pointed it in front of him. "I mean, with a single pull of the trigger, it could've killed something."

Nathan watched in horror. And he suddenly jumped in shock as Jessica let her hand slip onto the trigger and pulled it.

DOR'S!

"Oh my God" cried Jessica. "Nathan, I'm sorry."

"I'm sure Robert must have deliberately abandoned it and removed it from security mode" Nathan commented to her.

"And honestly I don't think anything will happen. Jeez .." he said, trying his best not to look amused by the situation. At least he didn't shoot Nathan's laptop. He could imagine that Nathan would definitely throw him away by then.

"Well, the matter of what you said in the bathroom earlier, you're right," Nathan told him, the young man's eyes moved to look at the bullet hole in the wall of his house. "You have become harder to guard."

"Is it that bad?" Jessica wondered awkwardly.

"You shot my dinding," Nathan reminded him. He stepped closer to Jessica and stood beside the girl, looking at the bullet that pierced through the wall. "I'd say it's really bad."

"At least no one was hurt" Jessica said, still trying to see the upside.

"Detachable from the wall," Nathan replied before he snorted. He smiled sinisterly and shook his head at Jessica. The girl smiled slightly as Nathan stood beside her again. "I think it could be worse, Jessica. I'll send the bill to your student loan, later."

"Thank you very much" Jessica and Nathan replied with a mocking smile before they suddenly heard a knock from the door.

Nathan turned around and walked closer to his door. His body stiffened as he tried to stare into the door hole. While Jessica stared at Nathan's movements and then looked at the bullet hole. He turned back as soon as he heard a voice from his father who was entering the room.

"Jessica, we're leaving now."
