Nathan orders tea for himself, while Robert chooses a glass of Americano. The two sat at a wooden table in the corner of a much quieter canteen room, avoiding the people.
"I thought you said you wanted to order coffee?" syndical Robert.
"Well, I changed my mind." Nathan repliedĀ
Robert smiled slightly as he shook his head.
"I heard the agents failed to find him" Robert said again before sipping his coffee.
Nathan nodded, "i heard the same information."
"Then have you managed to find his current position. Did you manage to track him down?"
"Earlier Dimitri shot all the computers in the office I was leading. In addition to one computer, of course. Ah, and my laptop is safe, too" Nathan replied, taking his laptop from the bag and showing it to Robert.
He looked down, looking at his laptop. "I had a lot of work to do in the office while I was in Thailand. On here. With you!"
"So why don't you do your job?"
"That's because I want to have coffee with you" Nathan said with a grin on his face. "Come on, I've even been working my way up here."
"Yes, all right." said Robert. "Then what information did you find about Dimitri?"
"I tried to find him, but it didn't work. Looks like he's gone missing again, Robert."
"Fuck him," Robert murmured as he clenched his palm tightly and smashed it against the table. He looked at Nathan again. "And Marie? How's him?"
"He will be flown back to our headquarters today" Nathan said softly, closing his eyes, grieving the loss of his boss. "I heard that his funeral would be in two days. Our organization will get things done quickly, as you know."
"I know it's too good" Robert muttered as he nodded slowly. "I'm sure after this they will definitely intend to try to get things done."
Robert and Nathan were silent for a while. Things become quiet. They just kept quiet while enjoying their drinks.
"What are you going to do after this? Do you think Dimitri will come back to chase you? I don't think so."
"I think, yes."
Nathan raised his eyebrows, looking at Robert in confusion. "Why? Wasn't her original goal Marie?"
"Who knows what he'll do?" robert murmured, while again sipping a drink in front of him.
Robert then leaned back in his chair and pushed his hand against his own head, twitching his head slowly. Tiredness slowly began to approach Robert.
"He's still on the most wanted list" Nathan tells Robert. "So far Dimitri is the top priority of our organization. Even though he had gotten what he wanted, by killing Marie, but who said that he didn't want more? Who said that this was the end of what he wanted?"
"Nothing" Robert agreed with Nathan's words. "But I'll be right back to look for him."
"And Jessica? Do you think Dimitri is done with him? Is Dimitri not going after him anymore?"
"I don't know, Nathan." Robert said frustratedly. "His mother wanted to take him back to Singapore.but I. I don't know if it's the best for him."
Nathan just kept listening. He nodded. No one knew what kind of protection was best for Jessica at the moment. Only Robert Jessica will be safe.
'Just exactly. That's what I think Nathan's inner self.
"He was twenty years old" Nathan said. "When I was that old, it didn't, forget it."
The hanging sentence from Nathan made Robert stare confused, but Robert tried to set his expression.
"Yes, I think Jessica is old enough to decide what she wants to do. He just needs your support for this matter." Nathan continued his sentence.
"I'll try to talk to him when Kate and John leave us alone" Robert said, stirring his drink.
Robert glanced at Nathan. He cleared a little before returning to talk.
"So can you tell me the truth, why are you here, Nathan?" robert asked, sipping his coffee again.
"I'm sorry?" Nathan asked with narrowed eyes. He lifted his glass and sipped his tea as Robert turned his head towards him, looking at him flat. Robert then furrowed his brows waiting for Nathan's reply.
"I've told you the reason why I came before" Nathan said.
"You came all the way to Thailand just to deliver the bags" Robert said. Nathan nodded.
Robert shook his head, "I can't believe it, Nathan. Tell me the truth before I find out myself."
While gulping his saliva roughly, Nathan shook his head. He threw away his face, taking his eyes off Robert.
He wondered if he would dare to admit it to Robert. But Nathan had no choice but to tell the truth. After all Robert would figure it out himself, regardless of how Nathan lied to him.
"Jessica is.well.she's a good girl," Nathan finally admits. "I've been with him for the last few days. And yes, as soon as you tell me about what happened to her. well .. I just want to meet her. I can't explain it, but-"
"No need," said Robert raising his hand holding Nathan's sentence.
Robert had dealt with many women in his youth. He often deals with his own emotions. And Robert knows clearly when a man feels attracted to a woman. Robert also knows when a woman feels attracted to a man.
And Robert didn't want to even just imagine it happening between Nathan and his daughter.
"He's still in college" Robert tries to warn Nathan. "He's just about to enter his last year."
"I know."
"Yes! So, whatever you feel for my daughter right now.well, stop that, Nathan," insisted Robert. "Jessica, she's a pretty girl, I get it. You're a nerdy kid-"
"Stop," Nathan interrupted Robert's words. "I know that. I'm self-conscious, Robert. I don't want anything like that from him either. Believe that! I just want to see it. And once I see him, I'll go. I just wanted to make sure she was okay. That'sthat's all. She's nice to me and I just want to do the same to her, Robert."
"You've only known him for four days" Robert told Nathan. "How much do you really know about him?"
"Enough," Nathan replied this time earnestly. "Honestly, Robert. You don't have to worry about that."
"It's nice to hear it" said Robert casually. "Because I still have that special weapon that you gave me."
"Are you threatening me again?"
