My Dad Turns Out to be Eyes

Jessica's body stiffened when she heard her father mention Nathan's name. He gulped his saliva violently and shook his head. At the moment he doesn't know what to think. As far as Jessica is concerned, the two of them are involved in each other's affairs. And that was something that really bothered Jessica, something that scared her. He was afraid of losing the young man. He just never had someone so close to him like Nathan before.

"Well, Nathan said that the item the people sent was a code." Jessica confirmed. "There's no doubt it was sent to Nathan."

"Yes" said Robert.

"Dad, this would definitely be able to make the Third World War happen if they had that thing. They can make war happen everywhere if they want to."

"Father will try to get the code back," Robert promised his daughter. "This is not Dimitri's. I can only tell you that much."

Jessica raised her eyebrows, "How did you know?"

"I'm just guessing it" replied Robert. "If this were Dimitri, he would have blown something up by now. Dad doesn't doubt that. What you want to know now is why they have to carry you around."

"It's clear to see you" Jessica murmured. "Isn't this like Dimitri's thing again, it's just different people. They used me to threaten you and get you involved in this case. I don't know why they want a father in this case."

"Actually the father was one of the few agents who had a family" Robert admitted to her. "Anyone can use this method against agents if they know about family relationships. Most agents will usually use a different name. Yeah, it looks safer that way. Dad always thought Robert Anderson wasn't flashy enough."

"It doesn't look like it" Jessica said cynically, recalling the incident when the men kept knowing she was her father's son.

Robert just chuckled lightly, "hey, don't be disappointed. You're known as a father's son because the criminal is an ex-agent."

"Yes, that's right." Jessica said and turned to Nathan's bedroom door. "Dad, I don't mean to be rude.but.well, I don't want to wake Nathan up right now. It's only been four and a half in the morning here."

"Are you sleeping on his couch?"

"Yes," Jessica chose to lie to her father. He doesn't want his father to know the truth and shoots Nathan when he returns later. "Be careful there, huh?"

"Dad will always be careful, Jessie" replied Robert. "Now you try to sleep and see you tomorrow."

"See you, dad."

"Goodbye, Jessica."

Jessica opened her eyes and turned her gaze to the person who touched her. He could see Nathan standing by the sofa.

"What are you doing?" Nathan muttered in an unclear state, still half conscious.

Her hair was completely disheveled around her head and she had already fitted her glasses to her nose despite looking slanted. Jessica moved her hand up to hold Nathan's hand.

"My dad just called." she said.

"Hm? Your daddy?" he stared in confusion, still half asleep.

"He's going home. He said he'd meet us at the office later," Jessica told him and Nathan nodded his head once, his index finger pushing his glasses further up his nose, Jessica smiled, "Why don't you go back to sleep? You look so tired, Nathan."

"What about you?"

"I'm not tired," Jessica shook her head, lying to him. He rubbed the young man's hand solemnly and looked back at him. "I'll be fine here."

Nathan sighed softly and let go of his hand. At first, Jessica thought that Nathan had left her and went back to the bedroom, but it turned out that the young man moved around the sofa and dropped himself next to Jessica. Lying her body on the narrow sofa and hugging the girl's body tightly.

"Nathan," protested. "I'm fine here."

"Me too" Nathan said to him, he closed his eyes. "So now shut up and go to sleep, and please tell me that your father didn't ask where you slept."

Jessica laughed loosely at Nathan and hugged the young man's body back.

"Yes, he asked, but take it easy, you're safe. I told him I slept on the couch."

"you're lying" Nathan muttered before he fell asleep.
