Nathan woke up early the next day. Nathan rubbed his eyes which still felt sleepy. He then glanced at his computer and saw that the screen was dead.

Nathan blinked his eyes several times, trying to adjust the light coming into his eyes. He pressed his computer keyboard, the screen was back on.

The light from his computer screen made Nathan's eyes glare because he had closed his eyes for hours. Afterwards Nathan looked into the bottom corner of his computer to ascertain what time it was.

He looked to the side and realized that the burden that was on his shoulders at this moment had disappeared. Jessica was not next to him only seen the blanket he wore last night that he put on the back of his chair.

Nathan was silent for a while before then he circulated his gaze around to look for any signs of Jessica. That girl is nowhere.

Where's she? Inner Nathan

Nathan stood up from his position and was about to go find the whereabouts of the girl, but it turned out that he did not need to do so.

Jessica came in a while later. And Nathan could feel his pulse returning to calm when he saw the girl coming back. The girl is seen to have eye bags under her eyes and she is also seen to have removed the makeup that was on her face.

"I just wanted to go look for you" Nathan said with an awkward smile.

"Oh, I just went to the bathroom to wash my face." Jessica told Nathan. "A guard who was outside showed me the way earlier."

"Oh, right. I think you really need to know where the toilet is." Nathan nodded in response to Jessica's words just now.

"So how now?" Jessica again wondered while putting the blanket back on her body. "Am I just gonna sit here and wait?"

"Hm.maybe up to Mr. Robert came back here. Yep! I think that's all you need to do right now. " Nathan tried to tell the girl.

Nathan then pointed to the device that was in front of him.. "I kept checking your Macbook last night and I was finally able to find out where the message came from. Apparently it came from somewhere in China.

"China?" Jessica raised next to her eyebrows, she was both confused and shocked. "It's a far away place."

"Yes. It did come from China." Nathan and Jessica explained just answering with a nod.

"So is my father safe?" Jessica asked.

Nathan nodded. And a sigh of relief came out of Jessica's mouth when she saw Nathan nodding at her.

Jessica moved closer while tightening the blanket that had been on her body, one hand pulled her blonde hair forward and then she sat back on one of the chairs.

Nathan then stepped towards the coffee machine and started using it. He rushed to throw the empty pizza box they had eaten last night into the trash.

"Where did you get this cup?" jessica asked to pick up Nathan's cup, as the young man put it on the table.

Nathan glanced at the cup that Jessica meant just now while sitting back in his chair.

Jessica kept looking at Nathan's cup and twirling it in her hand, staring at the glass intently. He seemed interested in that thing.

"Yes, it's a gift glass." Nathan replied, trying to tell the girl in the simplest tone.

"Gift? From whom?"

"not nobody. Just from myself when I just got this job. Yeah, I think it seems quite appropriate if I give an award to myself."

"This glass is so cool" Jessica admitted. He put the young man's glass back on the table and could only sit and wait for his father to appear.

"Thank you" Nathan said as he grabbed the glass and drank his coffee. "I have to go for a minute. I'll be back in a minute."

Jessica nodded, looking at Nathan who was now stepping out of the room. Jessica breathed tired. A question now popped into his mind, about what his mother would say if he knew about this shocking thing. But Jessica doubts that her mother found out about this. And it looks like Jessica didn't intend to tell her mother any of this either.

Jessica then closed her eyes, she leaned her back against the back of the chair, her neck seemingly bent back as she let out a rough sigh. He did nothing else after that, just sat quietly.
