"So what's the purpose?" robert asked as Dimitri drove his vehicle down the highway that night. The man looked calm after he told Robert what he wanted to do. "You told me you were going to blow up the organization building."
"Yes I think there are some ways to make you willing to come with me and that is one way" Dimitri replied as he leaned further into the back of his chair. "That's because I'm sure you'll want to come if I say that. Would you be willing to come with me if I didn't say something like that?"
"Obviously not" replied Robert.
"Ah, you need to learn to detect liars, because you're so easy to lie to. Especially with your son." Dimitri said, a small swipe came out of his lips as he said that.
Robert raised his eyebrows, looking at Dimitri, "You lied to me?"
Dimitri. "Come Robert, there's no bomb under the organization building. I know that you must have left your daughter there. What better way to get you to obey my orders than to threaten you that I'll hurt your daughter if you don't want to come with me?"
Robert groaned softly and shook his head looking at the cynical Dimitri, "shit, you're wasting my time with this."
"I even set up a fake activation system in front of Nathan just to make all my lies more believable." Dimitri commented, he looked proud of his own actions.
"Very clever" Robert commented for her.
"I like to think that I'm really smart" Dimitri said with a small grin. "Now, you must be wondering where we're going. I know that you're curious."
"That did come to my mind" Robert admitted to him. "I wonder where this traitor will take me."
Dimitri remained silent, he turned his car around a corner while Robert looked out the window. He's calm, very calm. Ah, honestly he did his best to look calm. He did not want to look depressed at the situation he was in at the moment. That is to say, of course he felt very worried. Robert would be lying if he said no. But all he needed to do was to never let his nervousness and worry be seen by Dimitri.
"To be honest I don't know," Dimitri chuckled to himself. "I just want to talk to you without anyone else listening. Yeah, do you see how easy it is to talk without wires? I mean is. I don't want anyone to need to know about this."
"You took the wire. No one knows what we're talking about right now" Robert replied slowly. "Yes, even though I intend to get out of all this alive. And after that I'll tell my boss what we just talked about."
"You can't blame me because it's your own recklessness" replied Robert in self-defense. "So what's the motive now? What do you want from me?"
"Why should there be a motive?" dimitri asked raising her eyebrows next to her. "To be honest, I was hoping you'd believe me, Robert."
"Sorry before, but that trust was gone when you blew up the train that day." Robert shook his shoulders
"All right! I'm really sorry for that" Dimitri said, "I knew you'd find out. Of course, Nathan will tell you. She really likes your daughter. You tau? I even checked the young man's internet history. And I have to say that your daughter's Facebook page shows up more often than it does to find information about me."
"Ck, I do know from Nathan. But what if we don't get off the train?" Robert wondered cynically. "And do you know how many people died because of you?"
"About seventy-one by my count," Dimitri said casually, without even the slightest hesitation. He is seen adjusting his hands on the steering wheel and quickly glancing sideways to see Robert. "I must somehow get the attention of the organization. What better way to do it than to try to kill their best agent?"
Robert took a few moments to shift in his seat. Dimitri remained silent for a few seconds, waiting for Robert to speak first. No response from Robert, Dimitri finally spoke again.
"Yes, the point is I want to get their attention again" Dimitri said. "I want them to know that they can never catch me. I want them to stop trying. They will never win either. But it turns out they're still after me and I know they're gonna keep sending you after me. Apparently I'm indeed stamped as a fugitive, even though I'm also a former agent."
"Where did you get that idea?" Robert asked, his tone sounding cynical. "They obviously won't leave you alone. Even if you get away, you'll be pursued."
"They'll do it. They'll keep trying to catch up with me, I know that." Dimitri replied still sounding relaxed. "By the way, I'm enjoying the thrill of a cat-and-mouse game with you, Robert. The chase on the subway back then was one of my favorites."
"So am I" replied Robert, his voice sounding insincere.
Dimitri was silent again, staring at the road in front of him as he continued to drive.
