My Dad Turns Out to be Eyes

My Dad Turns Out to be Eyes

That afternoon, the organization's entire office was cleared for lunch and Nathan lived alone in a spacious white room. He turned his gaze back and found Jessica had been leaning back in the chair, soundly asleep.

Nathan sigh. To be honest he had seen the gazes of his staff all day, but chose to ignore them instead. The men know who Jessica is. They knew that the girl was Robert Anderson's son, which is why they kept staring at Jessica all day. Nathan suspects that people must think Jessica must be in trouble again because of her father.

And Jessica just sat there, waiting for Nathan to work. The girl ended up falling asleep on the couch, probably tired of waiting.

Nathan is standing at his computer and trying his best to change the code connected to the nuclear device. But it looks like someone has been protecting those people and stopping Nathan from trying to do anything to them.

Nathan glanced towards the memory card which caused so much hassle. Nathan was secretly upset. Nathan wondered what would happen if he took it out and threw it into the sea. Nathan grieved as he realized his own ridiculous thoughts. How could his brain think of such a thing. There's no way he's doing that. Of course it would cause more hassle if he actually did.

"Nathan."

The young man jolted from his own mind and turned around when he heard the cry.

That's Robert.

Nathan frowned between shock and bewilderment. When did the man arrive? Nathan hasn't even seen Robert break into the office today and no one has told him Robert has come. Ah, but the next second Nathan immediately shook his head. Robert didn't have to tell Nathan his presence either, did he?

James turned his head towards the sofa and bowed to Jessica, staring as the girl slept soundly and her hands raised, pushing her hair behind her ears.

"Mrs. Robert," Nathan greeted back in a calm tone. "Yes, he slept for a while. I think he might be bored or maybe exhausted. Yeah, that's not surprising. He didn't even sleep last night."

Robert moved closer to Nathan.

"Did you find anything?"

"Virtually nothing," lamented Nathan in a half-excited tone. "It looks like someone really doesn't want to be found. I admit, it's pretty neat."

"So it seems" said Robert and he stepped back on his daughter.

Robert raised his hand, then moved it to Jessica's shoulder, shaking it gently, trying to wake her up.

Jessica who felt the small shock woke up. Both of his eyes seemed wide open and he looked surprised at his position for a while. His body seemed to shake and he looked towards his father.

"You look terrible, baby..." Robert taunted his daughter and Jessica rolled her eyeballs, her lips pulled upwards, she smiled as she slapped her father on the shoulder.

"Shut up, dad. Don't mock me so." Jessica protested. "When did you get here?"

Robert straightened the blue tie he was wearing. He stood up straight and Jessica stood up as well. Robert hugged her tightly for a few moments then let go while answering the question.

"Daddy just arrived about an hour ago. Yeah, the traffic's too heavy and it's slowing dad down to get here faster."

"That's what it looks like." Jessica nodded her head. "So what are we going to do now? Are we going to go home to Dad?"

"Unfortunately not" Robert replied to her. "Right now I'm going to see my boss first. Yeah, no doubt that he'll definitely give dad something to do about the case. I don't know what."

Jessica sighed, "I'll be back waiting here like it is."

Robert then turned to Nathan, "Are there any clues so far?"

"No, no, no" Nathan replied. "I did my best. And usually it will also end pretty well."

"Pretty good?" Robert stared with a cynical smile.

"I'm just asking, not doubting you" Robert replied. "But somehow I started to get curious about the size of your pride."

"I don't think it's as big as yours" Nathan replied muttering. "But enough to fight your ego!"

"Be careful, Nathan" Robert tried to warn the young man. "I still have the personal weapon you gave me."

Nathan rolled his eyeballs as he heard Robert say that and then looked at Jessica.

Jessica just shook her head looking at the behavior of these two people in front of her. He wondered if it would always be like this. His father and Nathan, they'll always argue. Yes, he had no doubt that in the end they would get bored themselves later. Yeah, if they don't do it, maybe he will.

"And did you bring the equipment from the mission back here?"

"You don't want to know the answer" Robert said to Nathan making the young man sigh tiredly.

"Why do you like to spoil things so much?" nathan's Nagel. "Ah, I suspect secretly you must have sold those things, right? Honestly!"

Robert simply rolled his eyes lazily, then turned his attention back to Jessica. "Dad's gonna go and talk to dad's boss first you stay here and keep Nathan out of trouble."

"Munafic," muttered Nathan, re-typing on his keyboard. "When he is the only one who will be happy if I am in trouble" he said.

"Go and meet the father's superior" Jessica finally exclaimed with an amused chuckle. "Before you two finally yell at each other. I don't know why I don't doubt it's gonna happen."

"No" replied Nathan. "That's not going to happen because I still have much better self-control than your father."

"OK, okay," Jessica rolled her eyeballs and her father smiled as he wracked his blonde hair before he finally left. He glanced at Nathan with an arrogant grin on his face as he left.

Jessica sighed and chose silence for a while before then she reached into her bag to grab her phone. Jessica could see that she currently had one message. And Jesaica quickly unlocked her phone. He read the text, before he saw the back of Nathan's head.

Once again Jessica set her eyes on the phone screen and read it again.

'Don't tell anyone what you're seeing right now. If you dare to do it. Well, you know that the consequences will not be pleasant.'

Jessica stared at her phone screen for a few seconds before a message was sent back to her phone.

It's a picture...

Jessica has not opened it yet.

Jessica swallowed her mouth rough. Should he open the photo? He's getting restless. He sat up straight on the sofa before clenching his palms. Her knuckles turned white when Jessica finally decided to open the photo file.

And a second later...

Jessica's fist grew stronger. He could feel his heart pounding. He did his best to hide his terrified expression.

He looked at the contents of the photo and rubbed his face rough after a few seconds.

Jessica dropped her phone into her lap. He could clearly see his mother being tied to a chair. Blood was seen flowing on his face.
