My Dad Turns Out to be Eyes

My Dad Turns Out to be Eyes
Part 8's

Robert woke up early the next morning. She looked around her new home and wondered if her daughter was awake. Actually Robert was sure that his daughter would still be sound asleep in the guest room. And sure enough, the girl was still sleeping soundly on the sofa.

Last night Jessica refused when Robert offered to sleep in the room that had been provided by Robert before. Instead, he chose to sleep on the sofa in the living room. His suitcase was even lying just like that in one corner of the living room, it was wide open with clothes strewn everywhere.

"Why did he choose to sleep here?" robert muttered while shaking his head.

Jessica had a small make up bag that she also left strewn across the table, along with her clothes she wore last night that were thrown carelessly onto the floor. He had only been in Robert's house for less than two days but he had managed to make Robert's house look very messy.

Robert stepped closer and sat down on the side of the sofa where his son was asleep. He raised his hand to touch his son's shoulder, intending to wake the girl up.

"Jessie, wakeup!" robert slowly.

Jessica's body slowly moved. While grumbling indistinctly, he turned his body to face the father but still did not open his eyes. And he again grumbled in annoyance as Robert touched his shoulder once again this time accompanied by shocks on his body.

"Jessie," Robert called his name in such a soft tone of voice. "Hey...have you woken up?"

"Not yet."

Jessica's silly answer made Robert smile. He shook his head while looking at the girl.

"Who just answered my question?"

"Geez, dad! Come on..." Jessica is back to grumbling. "Dad's disturbing my sleep!"

"You wake up first. I want to talk to you for a minute!" Robert Pinta.

With a slight reluctance, Jessica finally opened her eyes. The glare of the sun from the open window made his eyes narrow. He pulled away his messy hair and covered part of his face, then looked at the father.

"Dad is leaving now" Robert said to the beautiful girl before him.

"Yes, okay!" answer Jessica.

"Look! You have to stay indoors to be safe. And I hope you don't open the door for anyone."

Jessica got up from her sleep. "Wait a minute, so am I not allowed to get out of this house?" with a wondering expression.

"More or less so," Robert nodded.

"But dad didn't have any food in the fridge. There's no way I'm not buying food. What do you want me to eat?"

Robert breathed slowly. How could he forget that important thing? Robert then shook his head slowly. He knows his mistake. He knew that he should have sent Jessica back with her mother only yesterday or asked her to stay overnight at the hotel.

Never mind, then Robert would let it go if this girl wanted to get out. He could have someone watching over his daughter to make sure that Jessica wouldn't do anything stupid as long as Robert was gone.

Not what. To Robert, Jessica is still a young girl. He is old enough to do what he likes or doesn't. And he'd be in revolt if Robert didn't do this and that.

"alright. Then you can do what you need to do" Robert said. She looked at Jessica with a serious look on her face. "But you can't go out at night. Just until ten."

"Eleven!" haggard Jessica.

Robert shook his head, "No, ten o'clock!"

"What about half eleven?" Jessica insists.

"All right!" Robert finally gave up. Negotiating about the clock will waste its time in vain. "And remember, don't do strange things!"

"A day, two days at most" Robert replied, shrugging his shoulders and looking at the boy with a sad look. "It won't be too long."

"Hm," Jessica sighed slowly.

Gamang, Jessica then looked back at the father who was in front of her. If he can be honest, in fact he is still not too satisfied with the time he spent with his father at that time. He still needs time to talk to his father. Tell me about this and that, a lot of things. And anyway Jessica still hopes in her heart that her father does not go.

The holiday at his father's place is only a week. And because of this task on her father's run, Jessica must be willing to divide and also shorten her time. His holiday activities are falling apart.

Really annoying work. Jessica grumbled in her heart.

Jessica still chose to remain silent when suddenly Robert ruffled her hair and leaned over to kiss her forehead.

"Don't daydream in the morning" Robert said. "After this work is done we will meet again."

"Yes, we'll meet again and by then you'll have to accompany me for another walk!" said Jessica.

"Dad will try that for you."

Jessica then chose to wrap her arms around the father's neck and rest her chin on the father's shoulder covered in a suit.

"You should promise, not work for it." - Nagged him.

"If you promise, it means you're gonna owe me and I don't want that. Now get up and don't sleep again, okay!" robert tried to warn his daughter.

"Dad just calm down, I won't sleep anymore" Jessica said casually.

"Don't lie, I know exactly what you are. Usually you'll choose to sleep again, even as long as you can."

"Whatever father might know, you weren't there all this time" Jessica laughed. He tried to tempt his father.

Jessica then released her embrace to her father. And that's when, Robert moved to kiss his daughter's forehead and then he stood up straight again.

"Yes, I don't think you know" Robert said, nodding in agreement with the stiff expression on his face. "Well, as long as you're gone, you'll be a good boy. And remember, as long as you're gone, there's not a party in this house like it did at your mother's, okay!"

"Damn, how did you know I was gonna do that?" jessica said back to teasing her father. He then looked at his father, seeing the father who was about to leave the guest room. "Dad ruined my plan."

Robert simply smiled in response, Jessica then resumed. Robert stepped away as he heard the girl laughing.

"Dad just relax, I don't have any friends here, so I can't possibly do anything like that" Jessica said.

Robert chuckled again. "Dad knows it!" abugn.

Robert then placed one of his hands in his pants pocket as he walked towards the nightstand to pick up the suitcase containing the clothes he had packed for his trip.

He opened the door and looked at his daughter.

"Dad go first! See you, Jessie."

"See you, dad."
