My Dad Turns Out to be Eyes

"It's interesting, but it's complicated at the same time" Nathan spoke after a while working on Dimitri's laptop.

Jessica, who was standing to her right, leaned over and placed her elbow on the table, while her head was propped up by her hand that was on her chin. Nathan is occasionally seen turning his eyes, staring at Jessica for some reason he doesn't even know.

"Can you get into the system?" a firm voice suddenly asked.

Nathan and Jessica turned around to look at the source of the sound. It was Robert, who was currently seen standing near them, staking out their activities near the big screen with his eyes focused on Nathan.

Jessica chose to stand up straight, tidying the tangled fabric on the dress she was wearing before then stepping back, somewhat away from Nathan.

"of course. I built this system before he managed to manipulate it, so of course I should." Nathan spoke, a sinister smile was seen on his face as he answered Robert's question.

Nathan then turned his head, looking at the large screen that was currently showing a series of lines on the image on the screen. Jessica's mouth involuntarily gaped at the pattern on the big screen. Wasn't this amazing, because he had seen something like this in the movies he had seen before.

Robert then came to stand next to him, putting his hands on his son's back while continuing to stare at the laptop that was on the table.

Nathan breathed a rough sigh. "It's weird. Every time I try to get access to the laptop, the data changes. Looks like this requires a password and-"

"Stop," suddenly Robert cut off the young man's speech.

Jessica looked at the screen, trying to figure out what the father was looking at.

"That! These red lines form a circle. And the point in the middle of the circle, isn't it another subway station that's on the bustling tracks of the city. The station was closed for years. But try it as the password, either the street name, or the station name."

"Geez," Nathan spoke in shock as he watched the screen begin to change after he inserted one of the ones Robert had mentioned just now. "It worked! I made it in."

Jessica watched as the red lines began to re-emerge after Nathan managed to break his password. Another picture appeared. Nathan now raises his hand to fix his glasses further up to the base of his nose, before he sees Robert walking back and forth near the screen, his mind was now trying to think hard about what the image was.

"This is not a map" suddenly Jessica spoke as she began to understand what she was looking at right now.

"Yes, right. This is a map of the building from that underground station-"

"No!" Jessica quickly cut Nathan's words. He walked over to the big screen and pointed at the image that had just appeared. I mean this one.it's made with dotted lines that's why it's not very visible."

Nathan looked at what Jessuca had just meant. He immediately nodded his head in agreement with the girl. "Yes, Jessica's right. But why does he need this map?"

"That's because the underground station and something on the map was part of his plan" Robert suddenly returned to speaking.

"Whether he wanted to do something to that underground station and once he succeeded he would go on to do something else to something somewhere on that map." Nathan assumed.

"I thought the same thing." Robert agreed.

Robert then turned to look towards Jessica from his standing position. But at that moment his eyebrows were raised in confusion as a siren sound rang out loud.

"That's the siren sound!" Jessica replied.

"Why did the siren sound so loud." Nathan scolded the officer nearby.

"Because Dimitri managed to escape," muttered Robert. "That siren sign of a escaped prisoner."

After saying that Robert looked back at his daughter. "Jessica, you stay here and do whatever Nathan tells you to."

"But where is Dad going?" jessica asked worriedly as she watched her father start running away.

Jessica almost took a few steps forward to chase after the father who left the room, before her steps came to a halt when she suddenly felt someone holding her arm.

Jessica turned her head and looked at Nathan who was currently trying to hold her arm. "Your father will go after Dimitri." Nathan said.

The young man tried to pull Jessica back into place. Jessica didn't try to fight. He just stared resignedly at the fact that he could not pursue his father.

"Your father will be fine, for sure" Nathan said, trying to calm and pull Jessica to follow him back to the place. "If we could wait for your father here. It'll be dangerous if you follow him."

Jessica lets Nathan pull on her arm when they see a flash from Dimitri's laptop. Nathan ran back to his desk and could clearly see the words listed on the laptop screen.

Not a very smart kid.

Nathan growled as he read that sentence. He clenched his hands tightly.

"Damn, shit, shit!" Nathan said annoyed while ruining his coarse hair after reading the sentence.

Jessica stayed in her place. He even felt confused when he heard the swear word that Nathan said just now.

"Can someone explain to me how he could hack into our system? I put this laptop into our system, and then how did he hack it." Nathan shouted at the large number of workers in the room.

The workers around him said nothing. No words came out of them. The men bowed in response to Nathan's question just now. And Nathan quickly closed Dimitri's laptop.

Why did he get into the system? I was the one who created the system. He's not a programmer, so how can he do this.

Nathan turned around and walked back towards his desk. He resentfully kicked the table and leaned his palms against the table while staring at the big screen on the wall. Nathan can't believe that this just happened to him. This took Nathan really hard. It's frustrating!

"He hacked into this organization's system" Jessica murmured softly to herself. It was so slow that Nathan next to him could not hear his words.

Jessica doesn't believe in a certain sense. She was confused that even Jessica never thought that anyone could get into this system of government organizations. Imagine that! That guy named Dimitri hacked the government system? Didn't that already show how clever the man named Dimitri was.
