Jessica glanced at her father. Is her father jealous?
"Yes, another new guy. He's a guy named John and I'm sure he works at the same accounting firm where mom works today."
"And what do you think of him?" the father asked again.
"About John?"
"Yes, what do you think?" ask the father again.
Jessica was silent, looking back at her father for a moment. He then shook his head, biting his lower lip with a sad look.
The father could see clearly as his daughter displayed a sad expression on her face. And he chose to break the girl's hair.
"Did he disappoint?"
Jessica did not answer, the girl then combed her long hair painted blonde and moved it to her right shoulder. The father simply smiled and began to remember that it was something Jessica used to do when she was nervous or feeling unhappy about something.
It did not take long for the father to know the change in attitude of his daughter which was always easy to read.
"It was a bit disappointing at first. She looks a bit arrogant" Jessica said slowly.
"A little bit?"
"Well, he's arrogant." Jessica finally came out on her father. "But the more days I think he's not that bad."
"really?"
"Mother and John had also gone several times during the night to date the famous fine restaurant. And one night he bought me food at home."
"You like it?"
Jessica smiled wryly. "To be honest, I've never tasted such food so I think it tastes a bit strange on the tongue. But somehow it looks like mom really likes that food."
The long queue slowly began to move and the two of them advanced step by step to follow the movements of the long queue. Jessica peeked impatiently at the few people in front of her, trying to determine how much longer the queue in front of her and after that she looked back at her father.
"That's how it is." he said while shaking his shoulders.
"So it's true what people say" the father told Jessica.
Jessica looked over, staring confusedly at her father. "About?"
The middle-aged man turned to his daughter and smiled. "About the way to impress a woman is through her stomach."
"Hey," Jessica replied hurriedly, she smiled lightly as she slapped her father's arm making him smile.
"What's the matter Jessica, isn't dad right?"
"But that's not the context, dad. Hear that! I'll understand if I do it to another woman later. It's not about the food but about the dinner. About the time you gave to your loved ones."
"Thank you for not doing something like that. Dad just felt it sounded more like licking someone to be close to the woman he was after and also his son."
Jessica scoffed cynically, "This father is really unromantic." her grunts made her father laugh again.
Jessica then chose to be quiet. His father was also silent, not intending to say anything more to him. Jessica took a quick glance just as her father put his hand in her pants pocket. Only then did Jessica sigh lazily as she looked at the queue forming behind them.
"Why are so many people coming here?" his inner.
"A lot of people want to see the show."
Jessica nodded. "That's what it looks like."
The girl turned back to her father, looking at his face in silence. She smiled, initially Jessica thought that she would have difficulty conversing with the man she had so rarely met.
His father, Robert Anderson. The man who has always been a mystery to him. Jessica had thought that they would have some distance about the relationship because they very rarely met.
They used to look like people who didn't know each other. But after that Jessica realized that she was wrong because it turned out that she could get along with her father.
Jessica and her father always contact each other. He met secretly while his father was on a trip abroad. And now he sees his father present here. And her father made time for her.
Jessica could only smile remembering that. He felt happy because his father could divide the time to accompany him to spend holidays like this.
