A few days later, it was very sad for Jessica. He is currently standing in the middle of his mother's funeral. Her aunt came to see her too.
The funeral procession was closely guarded by several agents just in case. The organization has done everything to keep the events that have happened a secret. That's why the funeral was held as closed as possible.
Robert also appears at the funeral with Jessica. Nathan himself had asked if Jessica also wanted him there because he could take time off work. Jessica refuses and she insists that she will be fine with her father.
Katherine's disappearance has kept Jessica quiet for a long time. Robert could not blame anyone. Yes, Mary has spent years raising their child. He has done most of the work done by his parents. But now he will always be there to replace Maria..
He should always be there.

"Your father went to the base,"
That was the first sentence Nathan said upon seeing Jessica when the girl opened the door for him.
He hasn't seen Jessica in days. Nathan is busy with his work at the office while Robert and Jessica go on vacation for weeks. Robert argues that he needs to take Jessica away on vacation in self-jibur for everything that happened to her. To be honest Jessica had already told her father that she did not need to go anywhere, but her father insisted.
"I thought he was going" Jessica said and moved forward to kiss Nathan's cheek.
"We just came from vacation" Jessica said, pointing to a suitcase lying on the floor. "She just put the suitcase away and told me she had some business to do. He just left. Did you see him on the way here?"
Nathan coughed awkwardly and closed Jessica's door. She then follows Jessica to her bedroom, as the girl begins to move the suitcase over the bed. Jessica was taking out her clothes, sorting out the pile of dirty clothes and clothes that were still clean.
"He kind of told me to come here now" Nathan said. "It's been a while since you've been with your father until he's finally willing to leave you alone."
"Yes, she was constantly watching me," Jessica said chuckling as she stuffed some clean clothes into the drawer.
Nathan had to be amazed when he saw Jessica move so easily. Nathan knows about his bruised ribs and also his sewn thighs. Nathan thinks that it took a while before Jessica could return to her physical condition like when Nathan was injured first but she wasn't. Jessica returned to normal in just a short time. Yeah, even though Nathan mentally knew it would take longer.
"He is your father" Nathan replied as he shrugged indifferently. "He'll definitely try to take care of you."
"Yes, I know."
Nathan then moved his hand at Jessica. He put his fingers around the girl's chin and set his eyes on Jessica to look at her
"Everything will get better" Nathan promised him. "I can assure you of that, Jessica."
"I know," Jessica smiled back at him and rubbed Nathan's arm before he started unpacking his suitcase again. "Dad said he'd be back to work soon. He told me that John would be tried soon.well..."
"Yes" Nathan nodded briefly.
To be honest, Nathan had no idea how far he had to take the topic of John with the girl. Nathan was well aware that it would be a sensitive issue to discuss.
"You can talk about it, Nathan," Jessica told him. "I don't mind. Huft... My father even refused to mention anything about her. I honestly want to know what happened to him."
"Well," Nathan cleared his throat and he helped Jessica by picking up another pair of briefcases to put on the top shelf. "He will be tried for a variety of crimes. Kidnapping..murder. Well, there's no chance,"
"So it seems..." Jessica nodded.
"I'm sorry I couldn't tell you anything more. Well, I've been trying to get away from this."
"And dad?" Jessica wondered. "I can see from the way he looks at me right now. I. I can't explain it, but he seems to see himself in charge of everything that's going on."
"Yes I also feel it's because of him" Nathan said bluntly. But then Nathan immediately shook his head when he saw Jessica's surprised look.
"Ah. I didn't mean it that way, Jessie. I mean, those people need people who work at the BIN organization to take advantage of. And your father was the one who worked at the organization and that's what got you involved. It's because of your father. I didn't mean anything, Jessica. I just-"
"It's okay," Jessica shook her head, not wanting to listen to Nathan and his worries. "I know what you mean, Nathan."
"Just like that" Nathan said. He did his best to change the subject in a hurry. "What are you doing on vacation?"
Jessica shrugged and put the last pants in the suitcase. He then rubbed the dust formed on his bedside table.
"Nothing is really special" he replied. "Dad fed me so much that I could return to the hotel full. He took me to all the good restaurants there. He did his best to distract me from everything. I think he tried too hard to comfort me. And you, it looks like you're definitely gonna like it there. It's full of a lot of things to see."
Nodding, Nathan picked up the empty suitcase Jessica had just closed and immediately placed it on top of her wardrobe.
"Maybe I'll go there someday" Nathan replied with a smile. "Maybe we could try another day's trip in the future and see if this one also works?"
Jessica bit her lower lip, not too sure what to say to Nathan. He still remembered how it had happened before. And that made her father determined to protect her.
Her father also told her that he would do his best to sever Jessica's connection with the organization again. And so did his father, it seems like sooner or later his father will retire from the organization. It would have kept Jessica away from Nathan.
"Perhaps," Jessica chose to nod her head in agreement even though her heart refused knowing that she and Nathan would be separated.
"By the way, Nathan, do you want to eat or what? Yeah, my dad's house somehow never had any food, but it's not weird for me right now. I always go to the store to buy it."
"Ah yes, right. Why don't we go out to eat?" Nathan wonders to her and Jessica looks at Nathan hesitantly. "Nothing's going to happen, Jessica. We don't have to go to fancy places or anything like that. Just a restaurant near here."
"No, it sounds good, I agree," Jessica nodded. "Wait a minute, I change clothes first.
Nathan nodded then stepped out of his room and checked his jacket pocket to look for a wallet.
