My Dad Turns Out to be Eyes

My Dad Turns Out to be Eyes

Nathan could clearly hear a loud scream from the phone call. He assumed Robert had put the phone in his pocket and let Nathan stay on the line without turning it off.

Nathan was quite happy Robert did just that. Yeah, well, at least Nathan can hear Jessica's voice. Truth be told, Nathan was unable to focus on his work when he heard Jessica keep questioning his father about what was happening. The girl must have been worried and that also made Nathan feel worried.

And lastly he also heard a scream from Jessica then there was a splash of water after that phone connection was over. Nathan assumes that Jessica and Robert must have saved themselves first and Jessica's phone must have died from exposure to water.

Finally, after doing what he had to do to keep Robert and Jessica safe, Nathan immediately put down his phone. He also told the police to go to the place once he knew there was a bomb on the train.

Nathan knew clearly that he couldn't stop the train. He tried to do his best as he could. But the best efforts will not always end well enough. And it will never be good enough when it comes from a Dimitri.

Nathan secretly felt as if he was always one step behind. The only problem he faced was that he did not know how to get one step ahead of Dimitri. And that is tantamount to a battle that will never end.

Nathan sighed until he heard the door of the room opened by someone.

"Nathan."

Nathan immediately turned to look at Boris who was currently standing at the back of the room. He put his hands to his waist and raised his eyebrows. He had no intention of leaving his desk for anyone, especially for a bod*h guy like Boris. Nathan doesn't have time for her. He should focus on his work. Nathan doesn't really care about it either.

'What's wrong with her?' Nathan wondered, noticing how sweat slowly formed on Boris' forehead.

"What's wrong?" ask Nathan.

"Regina wants your presence" Boris said nervously.

Nathan groans, knowing that he is clearly in trouble for failing to save the people on the train. He only hoped the nagging from his new boss didn't last long.

Nathan tightened the cardigan he was wearing and stroked his slightly tangled underwear. After that, Nathan moved slowly towards the back of the organization. He frowned when he saw how Boris's shirt was soaked in sweat as he passed by the man.

"Are you okay, Boris?" Nathan was wondering because of manners. "You look a little nervous right now. Did Regina scold you about something?"

"Ah, no. I'm fine, boss," he told Nathan, then Boris followed his boss into a dark corridor.

It was then that Nathan could see the figure of a large-bodied man standing before him, covering his path. Nathan raised his eyebrows. Who are these people? He then turned to look at Boris, his eyes narrowing through his reading glasses. Something is strange here...

"What's this?" Nathan was confused.

"I'm sorry, Boss. He.he threatened me! He said he was going to kill my wife.hurt her.." said Boris, sweat now seen pouring out of his forehead, he looked down in fear.

Nathan shakes his head, staring at Boris in disbelief when he realizes that he has been sacrificed by one of his own men.

Nathan quickly walked past Boris and ran back to his room. He needs the security of his laptop to call for help, to prevent anything from happening to him.

But just how many steps he had gone, suddenly someone pulled his clothes, restraining his movements. After that he felt someone hit his back and hit his back. And that's when Nathan's vision finally darkened.

"They're all dead." Jessica whispered while sitting in the hotel room.

She curled up on the floor hugging her own knees in the corner of the bedroom. His back is against the wall. Jessica did not even bother to change her clothes that were currently soaked.

Robert sat on the bed opposite him, a towel hanging from his neck as he put on a white bathrobe after taking a bath. Robert leaned forward, closing in on Jessica. He closed his eyes as he thought back to what had just happened to them.

"Everything ... dies ..." murmured Jessica frustrated.

"There's nothing more we can do" Robert told him. " Dimitri's been planning everything, Jessica."

"There's something we can do, Dad. From the beginning we could have been in a different vehicle" Jessica said. "We could be somewhere else. If we don't take the same train as them, they will all go home... and they died because we were on that train."

"Don't blame yourself for this" Robert urged him. "That's Dimitri! He's the one who put that bomb in there, ja-"

"Yes, but the bomb was for us right?" Jessica cut, she was unable to eliminate the screams she had in mind. Shadows of explosions and also flames appeared in his view and his eyeballs widened as he began to recall the incident.

"The bomb was meant for us" whispered Jessica. "so it's true that they all died because of us, father."

"No," said Robert, knowing that he had to stop his daughter from 'blaming herself' like this. It won't help him to calm down. And it won't help anyone.

"Jessica, listen to me."

Robert moved down from the bed, kneeling in front of Jessica only then he placed his palms on both of Jessica's cheeks.

Robert's eyes looked at Jessica sharply and his jaw hardened. Robert did not want his daughter to blame herself for the mess. He knew it would drive Jessica crazy. Shit, everything would drive him crazy.

"You can't be blamed for this. Dimitri killed those people. He's the one who killed them." Robert told him. "It's not your fault, Jessica. Things like this, if it wasn't a train, then it would be something else. It could be a plane. Motorbus. Anything! Because Dimitri's a lunatic. He's not sane."

"That still doesn't stop me from feeling bad" Jessica told her father. "I just want this to end. I want to go back to my bedroom in Singapore and forget everything that happened. That's all I want.and..."

"That's about to happen" Robert assured him, "father promised you."

It was quiet for a while. They both still look at each other.

"I want to take a shower" Jessica whispered later and she stood up, away from her father.

Robert sighed as he watched the girl leave. She knew very well that Jessica must have been shaken by what happened. Jessica is angry. Robert could not blame him.
