Nathan changed his clothes as soon as he and Jessica got to his house. He is currently wearing a plain white T-shirt and loose trousers so he can be more comfortable moving wherever he wants.
As soon as he finished changing clothes, he immediately went out of the room and found Jessica who was currently sitting on her leather sofa. The girl raised her legs up on the sofa. His two feet on the pull drew closer to his chest while his two eyes focused on gazing towards the television, watching the news channel. The girl seems to have changed clothes and is currently wearing her nightgown. His face looked somewhat different from before, as he had removed all the makeup on his face.
While standing in the doorway of her room, the young man quietly noticed how the current Jessica looked somewhat nervously combing her hair with her fingers. Honestly since he was on the way home earlier, the girl had already revealed a somewhat moody facial expression. Nathan knows the cause. Nathan knew exactly what made the girl look sad. It must be because he remembered his father.
Nathan thinks that Jessica has always been very calm, but this time considering that her father is on another mission, Nathan believes that Jessica must be worried about her father.
According to Nathan, besides being worried, the girl almost never looks nervous. Ah, or Nathan just never saw her nervous. I don't know. Only once a day when he was alone and left to daydream, it made jessica immediately think about the state of the father.
He knew that he was trying to be strong for his father. He did his best not to look weak in front of anyone.
Nathan slowly moved from the doorway of his bedroom, his feet stepping on the ceramic floor before he finally arrived in front of the sofa. He slowly sat down next to Jessica and leaned on his still somewhat aching back to rest on the back of the sofa. He then raised his painless arm and placed it behind Jessica.
Jessica considered the gesture as a kind of invitation for her. He smiled slightly then leaned against Nathan's side while his eyes were still focused on staring at the television, each of them still silent for a while before Nathan then started talking.
"You don't have to pretend all the time" Nathan told Jessica, his eyes still focused on the television.
Jessica did not answer anything to that. He's confused. Should he keep pretending? He chose to remain silent at this time. A second later, his gaze changed. He instantly picked up the television remote and turned up the volume when he heard the mention of 'Bulgaria'. He was worried that the news was related to his father, but it turned out that there were only a few riots and nothing to do with his father.
Nathan could only sigh at how nervous and worried Jessica was at the moment.
"Jessica," Nathan whispers his name, trying to wake the girl from the confusion and worry she is experiencing. "He'll be safe. Your father will be safe!"
"I know," Jessica murmured softly, to be honest right now she wasn't even entirely sure of her own words. Jessica then lowered her head, "Yes, I know it's her job. And he's been doing it for years that I never even knew before."
"Yes, and your father might still be doing it for a few more years" Nathan said in doubt.
"You're right," Jessica nodded.
"Mrs. Robert is skilled enough to survive out there. Not enough but very skilled. But I don't think you need to hide the fear and worry you feel every time he leaves. You know I'm here! You know that I'll understand and do my best to take your worries away from her."
Jessica smiled, "thank you, Nathan. I feel lucky to have you by my side."
"Yes, listen to Jessica! You deserve to be worried. Hugely. But there I am. You can spill all your feelings on me. Don't hold it alone." Nathan told Jessica subtly.
"Yes, Alice will be with him anyway, helping your father. He'll definitely make sure that Robert has everything he needs."
"Alice?" Jessica asked puzzledly, she raised her eyebrows next to him and looked at Nathan.
"Yes, Alice," Nathan nodded, confirming the question. "He's the one who's been promoted to my vice since I took my sick leave that just so happens to be over next week."
Jessica held up her seat, she now looked at Nathan with a serious look.
"Talking about sick leave, I got curious, can't you really enjoy your break? People in the organization have even contacted you this whole time." Jessica wondered at him.
"Yes, I'm actually the best. And they can't really do those tasks without me, so they'll call me often to ask for instructions!" Nathan chuckles.
Jessica grieved, she leaned back on Nathan, "And I don't know what's going to happen to us when you get back to work? Ck, I assume that I won't be able to see you as much as I want anymore."
"Maybe not" Nathan agreed. "His job will be busy, but I will try and make sure I can always meet you."
"That would be nice," Jessica replied in a soft tone. He pressed his body against Nathan, leaning his head against Nathan's shoulder as he suddenly moved to grab the television remote from his hand.
"You what?" jessica asked as she held the television remote even stronger, preventing Nathan from taking the thing away from her.
Jessica did not move as she sensed Nathan was currently putting his chin over her hair.
"It's been enough to watch the news." Nathan said, this time his tone sounded more assertive. "You can't keep watching the news and wait for the bad news that could happen to your father. And I'm sure your father wouldn't want you to do that either." Nathan whispered to him.
Nathan moves back to retrieve the remote from Jessica's hand, who is still holding it. Feeling Jessica's grip still tight on the remote, Nathan sighed.
"Jessica, let me change the channel. Come on, you give me the remote!" nathan said he grabbed the thing again.
Slowly, Jessica smiled in jail and finally she let Nathan take the remote and she closed her eyes as Nathan kissed the top of her head.
"We just watch soap operas." Nathan said.
