The journey back to the BIN building this time seems to be smooth for both of them. The reason is they use a private jet owned by the organization sent by Regina. There are no obstacles or obstacles in their way.
They are currently in the organization building. Jessica herself was seen pacing around with one hand holding her elbow as the other finger continued to bite because she had been constantly worried.
Robert stood quietly, his hands in his pockets while his heart wondered if the programmer would make it out of the situation he was in.
"I know you must have heard the news."
The two turned around as soon as they heard a voice from someone. Jessica looked at the woman who had just arrived. A man known as Regina, the new boss who replaced Marry.
Jessica looked at Regina. He couldn't help but think about how different Regina was when compared to her other father's superiors. Regina looked more powerful.
"Dimitri called our hotel room. It looks like Dimitri did intend to lure us out of hiding." - Robert tried to explain and followed Regina into the basement.
"When did he bring Nathan?" ask Robert when they get to Regina's office.
"He took her a few hours ago" Regina said as she closed her office door.
Robert stood beside his daughter as he looked around the room. Jessica herself clearly still looks uneasy about everything that's going on. Robert could not blame Jessica. All of this is clearly not at all a natural thing to happen.
"Boris has been threatened to take her to the corridor. Dimitri manages to smuggle two agents who at first glance look similar. They've got permission to get in here."
"How did they get out?"
"They fired at some agents" Regina said, turning her laptop at Robert, revealing the cctv footage. "And from the cctv they brought Nathan in this state. The agents weren't in the right position to shoot back because they didn't want to hurt Nathan."
"Is Nathan okay?" Jessica moved forward after seeing Nathan's final condition.
"She may faint." continued Regina and looked back at Robert again. "He emailed us after the incident to explain the requirements we had to meet to bring Nathan back."
"And what's the condition?" Robert wondered and Regina turned to look at Jessica, wondering how involved the girl was in everything that was happening right now. It seemed that Robert had dragged his daughter into the mess further than Regina had thought before.
"He said that he didn't mean to hurt Nathan" Regina said later. "He wants to see you tonight. He said he had no intention of hurting you. He just wants to talk to you about something. Something about how the 'mummy' betrayed you two. He said that no other agent should come with you. And he said that he would definitely know if anyone interfered."
"Of course he'll find out," Robert nodded. "Where does he want to meet?"
"A little cafe down the street. The decision is in your hands, Robert. We can create a backup plan and send additional agents for you. It might be better if we did. He's very dangerous. I think the more agents who look after you, the better."
"What?" Jessica interrupted, she beat her father.
"Dad, you need to think about this. If you go to see him alone, what do you think will happen? Do you think he'll let you out of that cafe?"
"Your daughter is showing a good point" Regina said. "He's right. There was no guarantee that Dimitri would take Nathan with him later to the meeting place. God, how do we even know if he's gonna tell the truth?"
"We won't know" said Robert. "Listen, I've been an agent for years now. I can handle this myself."
"But we've never met anyone like Dimitri, Robert. He is our former agent." whispered Regina softly. "You know that, Robert. He knows what we run a lot."
"I know that" Robert nodded. "But we also know that I owe Nathan a debt of gratitude for everything he has done. Even if he is a bad computer user. He has done something that means a lot to me. It'll put Nathan in danger if we don't fulfill what Dimitri wants."
"But to get in there without any additional plans and agents? That's right." said Jessica. His eyebrows appeared to curl as he brushed his hair back to shoulder. He was frustrated with his father's choice. "Dad, this is really a stupid plan. Dad shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have gone alone, I know that."
"I know that, Jessica" replied Robert sternly, "but Dimitri would know if there was a backup plan. If he finds out about our plan, I doubt he'll show up later. He's not stupid. He'll know everything we're doing, Jessie..."
Regina sighed and sat down in her chair. He opened a bottle of whiskey from under his desk and slowly poured two glasses. He handed one to Robert and took a sip from the other. Regina stood straight from her chair, one hand in her pants pocket the other as she sipped the drink.
"It's not every day that I would agree to discuss about things like this with a twenty-year-old, Robert," Regina said, her tone sounding low and deep. "But I have to admit that your daughter did show a good opinion."
"I'm going to use something. Whatever it is and there must be something in Nathan's room that you can use to track my movements later. Anything! I'm not an extra agent."
"You have to talk to Evelyn about it" Regina said. "She might be able to go to try to find you something in Nathan's room. He'll probably be upset if he sees us tinkering at his room later..."
"Good," Robert nodded his head. "I have to go see Evelyn right away."
"Hurry up" replied Regina. "Your daughter should be pretty safe here tonight. I'll have Evelyn stay with him while you're gone."
"I don't like this," Jessica muttered and Regina's eyebrows shot up.
"I have to tell you that I don't like this either, Miss Bailey," Regina said sharply to her, Jessica just rolled her eyes lazily.
"You have to go and start" Regina told Robert.
